> 3 dayWorks great. Holds the umbrella tight. Works even better if the umbrella is a little thicker so the holding screw has more to grab on to.

> 3 dayBest purchase ever for our yearly trips to the beach. Its sturdy, strong, and does not give in to the wind. I bought 2 more after I bought my first one I loved it so much. I gave one to my in-laws, and left one at my parents in Miami for our Winter beach visits in Miami. We used it in Ocean City MD on a real windy day, and the umbrella stood its ground. If its real windy, the umbrella will break long before it gives in to the wind. Ive seen some plastic ones that are cheaper, but I cant see how those could hold up to the wind like this one. It screws into the sand easily because its firm. The design is just genius.

> 3 dayUnfortunately, on day 2 of using this at the beach, the metal “digger” at the bottom of the holder snapped off therefore eliminating the ability to dig itself down into the sand easily. So after one day of use, this rendered itself basically useless. Perhaps my item was defective from the start and therefore prone to breaking, but to lose the functionality of having this on day 2 of our beach vacation is less than ideal. Additionally, it is not the easiest to turn with the handles. They could be longer to make turning into the sand easier. My wife couldn’t use this herself.

Greater than one weekMy mom got one of these in a drug store about 15 years ago and we still use it. I finally purchased my own. Very easy to attach and dig with. I keep mine attached to my umbrella all summer, but Im careful to mind the sharp end of the coil. Its by far the grabbiest grabber out there and I highly recommend. If you dont want any impalings, this is the way to go.

> 3 dayThis is a very heavy product & dangerous. The one time I used it we had 20 mph winds at the beach. I screwed it in as far as I could in the hard sand. Not only did it blow out of the ground with the umbrella when I walked away for a minute, it seriously could have hurt someone being metal!!! Fortunately the umbrella is what blew over to my friend 1st!!!! Never again will I use it. Its bad enough when a pvc one or umbrella blows away...let alone a metal object. Im willing to admit that I may not have been able to screw it in far enough, but if I cannot, that makes it even more dangerous (Im pretty strong for an average woman). That being said, there were many pvc ones at the beach and other types of anchors that did not fly away (some didnt even have an anchor, such as a few mini market umbrellas and the wind was not constant either. I say stick with the pvc kind if you use an anchor, a heavier object is not going to make a bit of difference. Besides the fact that we have accumulated enough weight of stuff to carry to the beach. I used a cheap one my friend had for the rest of the summer & it worked just fine. I am mindful to close it if it gets too windy or when I leave it. My friend has a tommy bahama umbrella with a built in anchor & it works marvelous & the canvas material of the umbrella itself not only shades but noticeably cools the temperature.

> 3 dayThe sand is quite hard with a lot of shells so it is challenging to secure an umbrella at the beach where we live. This is the second sand grabber we have purchased since the first has worked so well. We wanted to set up two umbrellas - so we purchased this product again. Even with the salt air and water - it has not shown any signs of rusting so far.
