    Ive had several of these, must have for building! Its easy to calculate fractions and have a readout in fractions. But after several busted calculators I have now purchased the App. Thats right, same bad ass calculator on your phone all the time!

    I was issued a Heavy Calc at work before, felt boxy but robust and hefty for its size, works brilliant. Compared to this, its very light (probably the body being plastic). I recommend getting it with the shockproof cover, I love the armadillo case btw. Looks flashy, and it works brilliantly. Exactly what I needed.

    Im sure the calculator is okay, but the instructions are close to useless. Perhaps if youre a carpenter by trade, or willing to spend days figuring out the ways around default settings, you can use it. But if youre a do-it-yourselfer looking to make your life easier ... fohgettaboutit.

    Love this calculator. I do a lot of wood working as a hobby. Any woodworker knows that the key to good fractions and knowing a little geometry like rise over run. For so many years I would have to break down fractions into decimals to use them on my calculator then turn that decimal back into a fraction that I can actually use on my measuring tools. Its a time consuming pain in the tail. One day a came across a calculator app that allowed for calculating fractions directly. That worked for a little while, but using a phone as a calculator is tedious, the phone gets all dusty which Im sure voids the warranty, and I was still calculating angles on paper. So I did some soul searching online and came across these. Next to my 3hp cabinet saw. This is my favorite and one of my most used tools in the shop. Being able to do everything on the calculator makes my time in the shop much more enjoyable and it makes projects go a lot faster. I know these calculators have many uses, but I highly recommend it to any advanced wood worker.

Quick, Accurate Solutions in the Field

You"ll be able to work in and convert between all building dimensional formats--yards, feet-inch-fractions and metric--including area and volume. The construction master pro includes a number of built-in time-saving functions, including calculations for risers, treads, stringer length, and incline angle; how many 4 by 8, 4 by 9 or 4 by 12 sheets are needed to cover an area; jack rafter results for regular and irregular pitch roof; determining number of on-center studs for an entered length; and right angles. It also offers advanced solutions for circles, arches, columns, cones, pillars, windows and post-holes arcs, circumference, and segments.

Handheld Convenience

The construction master pro also includes the ability to custom define your preferences (such as fractional settings), a "paperless" tape that lets you review the previous 20 entries to double-check your totals, and accumulating memory with three additional memory storage locations. It"s powered by a two 1.5-volt batteries (LR-44/A76), and the Construction Master Pro has an auto shut-off feature that turns the calculator off after about 8 to 12 minutes of non-use.
