    Ordered this two weeks ago and I was really looking forward to a calculator that was designed for my work. I love tools to save time and allow me to be more efficient but when I got this it wouldnt even turn on out of the box. It was totally dead on arrive. Very disappointed and unimpressed. Im a carpenter apprentice and am being trained to used a standard calculator, I should have just stuck with that. Not worth $80+ and two weeks of excitement. Look elsewhere if you want something reliable.

    Got one of these from the carpenters training center in Pittsburgh. Thought I lost it on the job so replaced it with this one from Amazon. Exactly the same. Definite must have for anyone in the construction industry

    Ive held out on buying a construction calculator for the longest time. Finally thought I better buy one for some more complicated calculations for a sloped site project having to go between civil elevations in feet and my own architectural drawings in feet and inches. Its been so much easier using this little guy as opposed to my iPhone calculator or even trying some of the apps.

    If you do any work with construction like cement pads, carpentry, even conversions, get this little jewel for the farm or work shop. I played with it for days then used it to order concrete for a new barn pad which I squared up with it first. Waste of concrete was negligible. Also used it for truss lengths in the barn repair. I do recommend sitting down with it, reading the manual and running through the examples to really learn the power it has.

Quick, Accurate Solutions in the Field

You"ll be able to work in and convert between all building dimensional formats--yards, feet-inch-fractions and metric--including area and volume. The construction master pro includes a number of built-in time-saving functions, including calculations for risers, treads, stringer length, and incline angle; how many 4 by 8, 4 by 9 or 4 by 12 sheets are needed to cover an area; jack rafter results for regular and irregular pitch roof; determining number of on-center studs for an entered length; and right angles. It also offers advanced solutions for circles, arches, columns, cones, pillars, windows and post-holes arcs, circumference, and segments.

Handheld Convenience

The construction master pro also includes the ability to custom define your preferences (such as fractional settings), a "paperless" tape that lets you review the previous 20 entries to double-check your totals, and accumulating memory with three additional memory storage locations. It"s powered by a two 1.5-volt batteries (LR-44/A76), and the Construction Master Pro has an auto shut-off feature that turns the calculator off after about 8 to 12 minutes of non-use.
