> 3 dayWe bought this when our septic went out and it was going to take several months to fix. It was definitely hard for a grown man to use, but perfectly comfortable for a woman or kids. It holds a decent amount before needing to empty it and keeps smells in when the lid is snapped shut. We put a trash bag in, then a little cat litter, then a walmart sack. Each time someone pooped, we tied off the walmart bag, dropped it to the bottom, and put a new walmart bag in. It wasnt fancy and was sometimes a little gross, but it got us through.

> 3 dayI did not buy this with intent to use camping at the moment. Im sure it will be a welcome addition when we do take it out on a camping trip. The maiden voyage for our toilet bucket was to be used on a recent trip across states during this covid-19 pandemic. Our family sought to comply with the social distancing restrictions placed upon us. This trip was necessary for our family not for leisure. On this day we traveled 12hrs with 2 early teen girls and avoided contact with people at gas stations and rest stops to use their facilities. Let me tell you, it worked extremely well. We pulled the front seat all the way forward and placed the bucket on the truck floor of one of the back seats and did our business. It was by no means comfortable with the limited space but it allowed us ladies to empty our bladders and clean up with no problems. I wont attest to how others of different weights and sizes would fit given the difference in vehicles out there. We also have the windows heavily tinted so no issues there when we parked at rest stops to use it. We also chose to seek as much privacy as it was possible by parking as far away from others as we could. Now, the paternal unit of this family refused to use it and sought relief outside in secluded areas. Thankfully, for him he didnt need to go #2 as then he would have to use the bucket as we did. Not that we had use it for #2 either. Anyway, by using the bucket and packing our snacks, drinks and meals we felt safer during this trying time. At our destination we used masks and gloves at all times to keep ourselves as well as others as safe as possible for us. Highly recommended for this or any other trip.

21-04-2025I dont understand about the guy that said his frank and beans didnt fit in at the same time. It worked great for me, and Im 511. This toilet bucket is great. And for the cost? And they add a few special garbage bags with good smelling stuff in them and easy to then place in another bag thats part of the first bag. And you know what? No one paid me to do this review. I am doing it on my own. I love the feeling of being able to go even when a toilet is not around. Its very clean. And very cheap. And if more people did this, it might have a worldwide effect - positively speaking - on the water shortage because, you know, pooping in our water table is not a good idea.

22-04-2025I bought this to save us from middle of the night bathroom trips in the deep, dark woods. Weve used it on a few camping trips and it served its purpose well. The seat accommodates kids as well as plus sized adults. It is pretty sturdy - it hasnt yet been knocked over so cant say what would happen if it did. I kept in a corner of the tent. I will say that we have only used it for pee and only at night - so we didnt use it full time as we had outside bathrooms. For these purposes, one of the bags that was included lasted two of us for 2 nights - wouldve needed another bag for a 3rd. The bags are nice because they have a double-seal so there wasnt really a way for me to spill the contents. Also the material inside prevented odors w/in our tent. And... if it matters to anyone.. it was pretty quiet due to the material in the bag so all of the other campers couldnt hear us peeing in the middle of the night. lol. I do think Ill give a garbage bag + some kitty litter a try when Im out of bags and compare...Ill update then. Overall Im really happy w/this purchase and do recommend.

> 3 dayIt is basically exactly what is pictured: a 5 gallon bucket with a snap on seat. I am a small woman and my children are small so it works for us but it’s small. I can’t imagine an average sized man being able to use it without making a mess. The handle isn’t made to carry the bucket with the lid on. For logistic purposes I would rather carry it easily closer to where it would be emptied with the lid on. I bent it a bit and it works but is not ideal. It snaps on to the base but I haven’t done a trial run yet so I am not sure about smell and use of the bags. I will update after using it.

> 3 dayI knew I was paying more for a basic 5 gallon bucket because its meant for camping hygiene use, so I expected the construction to be sturdier and thus worth the extra price. But the swivel rod on the back of the lid looks like it will break if this thing is used too often. Unfortunately, mfrs indulge in this kind of planned obsolescence all too frequently. How much would it affect the bottom line if that crucial part was made of thicker, sturdier plastic, or even metal? I suppose the 3 included, specialized bags of human kitty litter add to its value and price-point, but I see similar bags selling for a few bucks each in bulk. This will fulfill my intended purpose of using it in a blackout that doesnt last more than a few days. I dont see it as a more long-term solution and, before I use it even once (if necessary!) I will be busting out the duck tape trying to extend its life beyond a few cycles. Still, it does fulfill a temporary need that, most of the time, we dont think about. Its just disappointing to find out that it wasnt made with the intention of lasting longer.

> 3 dayHey, it is a bucket to poop in, what do you expect? Its seat is functional. It is strong enough not to break when my 275lbs self sits on it. It came with some bags, so you dont have to wash the bucket (thankfully). I got it because every now and then a house with 4 people and 1 toilet has emergencies. I dont really want to ever have to use it... but if I need it Im glad it is there.

> 3 dayI use cat litter with this and it works great. Sprinkle a little on top of the poop. Dont pee in it. Makes it stink worse.

> 3 dayNo need to learn the hard way. Double bag it and youll be fine. I recommend a small yard waste trash bag outside the provided lined bags it comes with. This made camping with my younger daughter all good finally. Now she likes going.
