CamelBak Octane XCT Hydration Pack, 70oz

Greater than one weekPack is great, I used it in a spartan beast and it held up well. I was able to have quick access to snacks and gels. The hose it comes with is weak and I would suggest getting a sleeve cover for it and upgrading the snap on cover mouth piece. I think if camelbak put some silicon strips in the waist belt it would hold in place better and not ride up when running. That change and the hose swap make this a 5star product.

> 3 dayI purchased this to use on family hiking trips, xc mountain biking, and my long runs in the summer. So far it is a good little hydration pack. It holds enough water in the bladder for several hours of activity for me. The storage area is enough for my cell phone, keys, wallet, and small doodads. The side pockets can store several energy bars or gel packs each. I just recently ordered the separate camelback flask for the front pockets to use as it gets hotter here and my long runs get longer. I wish that it had straps to store my hiking poles when Im not using them or for strapping on a light rain jacket. My only complaint is that the straps will work themselves loose on long runs, so I end up readjusting them every couple of miles. Its not terrible, but not perfect.

> 3 dayGreat running backpack but smaller than expected. You cant fit too much in this pack, especially if you have a full water bladder but its meant for running so you dont want a pack full of stuff anyways.

> 3 dayWould have given 5 stars but I believe the straps to tighten the chest and waist should be longer. I bought this to walk, stay hydrated and to lose weight. It does fit but at just about the end of the strap. The straps should be double the length to provide ample room. Anyone who does not need the length could cut them or fold them down. Even if you are heavier it is nice to have equipment that works well and is comfortable. All and all this is a very well made and comfortable just a few tweaks would make it even better. 57 190 lbs at the moment.

> 3 daySolid hydration pack, a little difficult to clean. Make sure you empty and let dry after each use to avoid mold

> 3 dayI am 54 and I do really like this CamelBak but it is ever so slightly too big/long for me. I have the straps pulled all the way to the smallest length and i still wish it was maybe 1-2 shorter in length. It hits me right at that - it could be smaller but I can also deal with it area. Other than that it works great and is very comfortable. I also like the extra storage areas.

> 3 dayThe backpack shipped but not the water reservoir. I was very pleased with the backpack itself - super light, fits well.
