Works well and VERY handy for what we need for my husband for getting out of the car a bit more safely.

This tool just saved two lives today because I had it in my vehicle. A large SUV ahead of us spun out, flipped over on a two-lane overpass and landed driver side down. I was four cars back and could see the vehicle smoking. There was a child in the back seat and the driver was unconscious. I rallied help from some men in the vehicles behind me and handed them this tool to break the windows. They were able to pull both driver & child out right before the vehicle burst into flames. Never in a million years did I imagine I would need this in an emergency situation. I had bought it as a handle to assist my elderly mother in and out of her seat in my car based on the recommendation of an occupational therapist following Moms hip surgery. It was handy to have for that but a miracle to have in my car today. Best purchase I ever made, hands down. I originally purchased it in late 2018 and just bought a replacement for the one lost in the midst of saving lives today.

This is the best invention ever for people with mobility issues. The handle is sturdy and supportive when used to safely transfer from a wheelchair to the front seat of a car.

My dad is 89 and we daughters dont mind lending support as he gets out of the car. However, he is really enjoying the independence he has gained from his Car Cane. My husband is in his 70s and we dont get around as good as we used to. Stiff days sometimes. So we keep a Car Cane stashed in our glove box. Sure comes in handy on these icy days.

I gave this as a gift to a special member of my family who is incredibly pleased with this product.

It was a brisk christmas morning. I was excited to give grandma her gift after eating cookies and talking jolly old stories . It was time to open gifts, grandma opened hers and loved it. She was excited to be able to safely get out of her car. We said are goodbyes, later that day we got a call from her neighbor that Grandma is in the hospital. Apparently her car cane broke and she fell on to the ground and was immediately was run over by a reindeer. I have tried to get in touch with this company many times for refund but no reply. If you wanna keep you loved ones safe from embarrassment this holiday season stay away from the car cane.

I own a low-slung sports car and as I get older, I find it harder and harder to get (in) and out of the dam-ed thing. So I decided to try the Car Cane. It definitely helps to get out of the car, but not really for getting in (at least for my car). The issue I have is the fact that my car is a two-door vehicle and the door latch that the Car Cane fits into is practically behind me when I try to use it. The reason this is a bit of a pain is because the bolsters in my car (a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4) make it hard to reach this latch as I try to exit the car. In addition, the metal part of the Car Cane does not fit snuggly in the latch hole making the handle loose as you exit. It doesnt come out, mind you, but because it is loose it moves around a lot as you shift your weight to exit (which can be a little unnerving). Essentially, it does work as intended, but I wonder if there is a way the looseness of the Cane can be remedied (Im working on some ideas for that now). It also comes with a flashlight and a seatbelt cutter, and it also doubles as a window breaker. So, yeah, I recommend it, but be aware of its issues.
