The mic stops working often. Very thin wires I think is the issue. Probably come apart in the helmet. For the price - the quality of the mic and earphones are very low. I have bought new kit and same issues after a short time. Otherwise, they are great.

Great way to add your Cardo to an additional helmet

The Cardo product is great. The kits have allowed me to use my Cardo unit on multiple helmets without having to move the speakers and other hardware. Saves wear on the helmets. I had previously purchased the discounted kits that had been returned. Saved a little money and Amazon Warehouse doesn’t disappoint when it comes to quality control. Until now. These last two kits I purchased were not up to the Amazon standard of excellence. One kit was missing both mic options plus the female speaker plug had been removed which made the cradle system useless. I’m sending that one back. The second kit was complete, however it also contained two used and dirty alcohol wipes, the hook/loop extra pads had been peeled and adhered to the inside of the box plus the peeled backing were crumpled up and left in the box. I had extras from previous kits so I was able to make it work. Amazon, you’re usually on point. Let’s hit the reset, put this behind us and get back to excellence.

Filed a warranty replacement claim on a defective unit from Cardo. Followed their warranty protocol, and was sent a “refurbished” replacement unit that did not include a replacement microphone or speaker set. My issues persisted, so I paid for this set out of my own pocket because I was sick of dealing with Cardo’s. This set fixed my issues, but offer lower audio quality replacements for the original Cardo/JBL. Oh well. I’ll take something functional over something that should sound better but doesn’t work.

These speakers do not work as well as the JBL Bold speakers I got with the Packtalk Bold system. In my second helmet, couldnt hear my intercom group hardly at all with these. Replaced them with an extra set of the JBL Bold speakers, and at the same volume level, nearly blew my ears out!

I have a full face helmet and a 3/4 helmet so instead of buying two Cardos, I just got this Cardo Audio and microphone.
