> 3 dayComparing Carefresh Complete to Carefresh Custom, I prefer Complete because the bedding bits are smaller and seem more comfortable for my two guineas who prefer these smaller bits to the bigger ones in Custom. Between the two, I dont smell any difference in odor control. Complete doesnt have as much dust as Custom. The bag advertises that the bedding expands 2x its size but when I pat the bedding down after cleaning up, it doesnt really expand all that much. UPDATE: 4/29/17 I switched to carefresh brown bedding cause it was cheaper than the white bedding at the time (~$4 difference) and because it doesnt show the poo as clearly as the white. Regrets and more regrets. The brown bedding doesnt hold the smell as well as white, and so my house smells like a petting zoo after just an hour of cleaning. The brown bedding also has bits of wood mixed in, making the bedding irritable for both me who does the cleaning and the guinea pigs who live in it. Switching back to the white bedding and will keep an eye on the price and buy it when its cheaper. Again, dont recommend the brown bedding AT ALL.

> 3 dayWe used this to put inside our daughters hamster cage. It absorbs very well, it does have some “dust” along with it, however it’s super easy clean up! The purple is very vibrant as well which makes the cage “pop”.

> 3 dayHighly recommend. Cheapest bedding that you can find anywhere. My hamster doesnt really care about bedding and would rather be snug in some paper towel and tissues, so I use this bedding to musk up the odor which it does a great job in. I have a dwarf hamster, she likes to sleep on her bed of tissues, so I change that every other day, but other than the bed, there is carefresh bedding everywhere else, so when she does her business (especially around her wheels and playground) the refresh really absorbs everything up. When the carefresh bedding starts feeling tough or hard, that is when I change the bedding. I assume that happens because my hamster did her business and it got absorbed into the bedding, making this rough. She lives in a 2 floor, 2 feet by 1 feet house which I connect the top and bottom with tunnels. I only need to change her bedding once every 3 weeks, sometimes even 4 if she only does her business in her bed. I purchased the 60L bedding last September and I still havent used it all up yet! About 1/8 left. If your going to get a hamster, than I would highly recommend. Will have you so much.

Greater than one weekThis is great bedding for our small hamster. We tried the multi colored bedding, but that started to stink within a day. With only one hamster and two cages, we only change the bedding once every two weeks. Even then it doesnt smell.
