The cables I received were only 4ft long.

The Cat6 Ethernet Cable Flat 10ft - 5 PACK Black is offered at a good price for five cables. I used them to replace one Ethernet cable that seemed to not be working and now I do not have a problem with the connection. The ten foot length allowed me to use one cable instead of two shorter ones with a connector in the middle so that might have been the problem. The next one I used for the second back-up printer that I use only to print photos and it is located across the room from my desktop. The other three went to my son in his new home where he used them to set up his computer and sound system, printer and gaming. They all work great and I am pleased with the performance. Generally round cables are preferred for speed. However, these flat cables kept the same steady speed as the round cables it replaced. It also cuts a lot of clunkiness from the previous cables. Making it a great space safer from the tons of cables behind my desktop.

Flat cable, what will they think of next? This beats any cable I have used so far. Really nice!

For the short distances this goes it has the benefit of being easy to route as a cable. This flat cable is easy to route and is very flexible. Straight from device to switch at 1GB.
