> 3 dayThis was a good set for a beginner- if you plan on organizing the floss, there are not equal spools and flosses, you may want to buy extra spools. Otherwise everything was nice!

Greater than one weekTwo of my wood rings have broken, both while I was doing little to nothing to them. Angular separation makes me think maybe this is where is was originally glued together. Also my black thread was not the same quality as the others, looked like it was only five strands and the others were six, but also the texture of it seemed different. Happy with all the other piece, great for starters. Happy to figure out the usage pretty quickly on my first time.

> 3 dayI started my first embroidery project with a small hoop and a few skeins of DMC floss I bought at a craft store. I loved it so I bought this kit to prevent a bunch of trips to the store. It comes with a lot of stuff, more than youd really need for embroidery but there are some good general tools to have. Unfortunately the quality is not up to par. I was not able to get the hoops as tight as the one I bought at the craft store. There is a big variety of floss, but its not as nice as DMC. I was able to thread my needle with the DMC floss without much problem but it was almost impossible to thread the floss from this kit without a needle threader. One of the needle threaders broke within a few hours of stitching. The floss in this kit is much less slick and got caught on rough spots on my fingers regularly. I found myself reusing the same colors of DMC thread I had for other projects because its so much easier to work with. I might try using the wax that was included in the kit but unfortunately it looks like Ill be making another trip to the craft store before my next big project.

Greater than one weekThis has pretty much everything you need to start out! However, the fabric they include is more for cross stitch than embroidery, so I switched it out for some inexpensive muslin. The pens are very vibrant on the fabric so be aware when choosing the color to outline your project. I also found the needles a little thick for my personal taste so I bough a set of thinner ones. Overall it’s a great place to start! If you plan to do it a lot I definitely recommend a thread box to keep all the colors organized

Greater than one weekThe skeins are not exactly the same as the dmc colors they are similar. I definitely think this kit was worth the value. Great for beginners and the hoops are decent. If you want something to try out cross stitching then get this. It has everything you need to start out.

Greater than one weekThis kit came exactly as described. All the threads were labeled with the DMC colors, which made it really easy for me to find the right colors as I started my first project. I wish there were a little more robust instructions on how to cross stitch that came with the kit. But for the money spent, the quality of the materials is incredible and I have everything I need to get started.
