> 3 dayThis Chris Rock stand-up is hilarious! The language is of course racy, but thats what makes stand-up so entertaining!

> 3 dayAll the jokes are very funny. Like the angry kind of humour but I still get a little tired of hearing him scream in the end...

> 3 dayIll admit that there was a (very short) stretch during this show where I felt Chris Rock got a bit carried away with his political and racial beefs. Its all right, if its all white is funny once, not five times. Im white, I can handle the ugly truth, but shoving it down my throat by using the stage as a soapbox isnt gonna make me laugh. If youve seen some of George Carlins later shows, when he became far too preachy with his political grievances, you know what I mean. Nevertheless, 90% of this show was Chris Rock at his finest and sharpest, and will have any fan glued, laughing til your face hurts.

> 3 dayHe might put down white people. Hell put down black people, men and woman, relationships, The government, and even himself at times but in a funny way, about how people can be just so weird. Because the truth always makes the funniest comedy. I Got all his HBO stand up specials from the first one (Bring the Pain) in 1996...And right from the get go he had that comic genius of great timing, truth, slapstick humor and is a million times funnier than Cosby, Pryor or Eddie Murphy ever was, as far as STAND UP COMEDY goes. This comedy special here is equally as hilarious as all of his specials are. So enjoy this one. But you have to get the other 3 main ones. Bring the Pain, Bigger and Blacker and Kill the Messenger. Theyre all EXACTLY the same......Funny as Hell!!...So I guess this review is for, all four of his comedy specials also....frankm-white guy-61 yrs. old...

Greater than one weekChris Rock seems to be following Pryors career arc: a dynamic, revelatory first concert follwed by a succession of increasingly weaker and less magical ones. Dont get me wrong, hes still the best out there, still vital and still an important artist. Its just that his sets are becoming looser and less focused, robbing his top-flight writing of some of its impact. For example, the first 30 minutes or so are a bit of a drag as he skewers troubled celebrities who have already had quite enough of it ( Who hasnt made fun of O.J. by now? ). He also gets caught up in his own words a bit e.g. Michael Jackson...Michael Jackson...Michael Jackson!... ( alright, I hear ya, now what? ) which eats up time and slows down the flow. What saves him and this concert are his prickly intelligence and his ferocious indignation at societys constraints, hypocrasies, and double-standards. When he gets down to his views on politics, race, and relationships, thats when he finally starts to fire on all cylinders and remind us why hes #1. Toward the end, he starts to remind me of George Carlins recent work ( You Are All Diseased for instance, because of his similar angry take on a society gone mad ), which is a good thing since Carlin is still vibrant while sadly, Pryor isnt. Everything considered, despite the flaws, this is essential viewing and tasty brainfood for the angry philosopher.

> 3 dayThere was no where but up for Chris Rocks success. He has a natural comedic genius that others have to actually work hard for. Just an amazing show with continuous laughter. Chris Rock showing other comedians how its done right.
