I can get over the hook itself being plastic because it performs amazingly well, but the grips are just not up to standard. These grips are nothing like the rubbery grips on the smaller hooks. The shape is the same- ergonomic and easy to handle- but the grip itself is a harder plastic. This is still my choice of hook compared to other ergonomic hooks in large sizes, but I am so let down. For the price I paid I really expected the cushion of the smaller armour hooks. After days of crocheting preparing for a show my hands are much more sore than I had hoped :(

This crochet hook was comfortable to work with. The shawl pattern I was using consisted of many chains to form a very loose lacey effect. Because of the size of the hook and the material it is made out of I didnt have a problem with my fingers cramping.
