Colgate Total claims to help prevent cavities, plaque, gingivitis, and tartar while also cleaning teeth, protecting enamel, freshening breath, whitening teeth, providing 24hr antibacterial protection, and providing sensitivity relief. That’s a long list of benefits, and I also believe the taste is better with this latest update. As a side note, the tubes have also been given a new look. It’s a minor facelift, but it is a cleaner layout and makes it easier to see the many claimed benefits at a glance. Overall, do I think Colgate Total is better than a cheaper toothpaste? Likely. The difference isn’t night and day or anything, but Colgate Total has been tested to be more effective than basic cavity protection toothpaste in preventing supragingival calculus formation according to study I read about. It was titled, “Comparative clinical efficacy of three toothpastes in the control of supragingival calculus formation” if you wanted to look it up.

We have been using this toothpaste for quite some time. I love all of the benefits in one product, and when they addressed the sensitivity issue it just made it that much better. Over time, I have noticed that this toothpaste does not really whiten your teeth, but if you have your teeth whitened, it helps to keep them white. It makes that whitening last longer. Good fluoride protection, freshens your breath and keeps your mouth happy. If youre looking for strictly tooth whitening, you probably want to keep looking. If youre looking for a multitasker, this is what you want.

This toothpaste has a fresh minty taste thats not overpowering, and it foams up nicely to get between teeth as I brush. It makes my teeth feel so clean and smooth that I would think I just had my semi-annual dental cleaning if I didnt know better! My whole mouth feels fresh, and that clean feeling and smell lasts a very long time! Safe for people with sensitive teeth or gums, and it helps to remove coffee and other surface staining too. The price for this four-tube package beats the prices at my locals stores hands down, so this is a great deal too!

Im an original Colgate user, so being able to try out Colgate Total Whitening looked pretty interesting. Positives: Colgate Total Whitening has a much more minty-fresh taste than regular Colgate which makes my teeth and breath feel really clean. Love how the tube is actually recyclable and hope Colgate rolls that out to all of their toothpaste. The active ingredient helps fight cavities, gingivitis, and sensitivity. Negatives: Im not a dentist, but pretty sure nowhere in the description does Colgate specifically say This toothpaste will whiten your teeth. Thats because there is no actual teeth whitening ingredients anywhere in the toothpaste (no hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide listed). For example, Crest White Strips include hydrogen peroxide as the active ingredient for teeth whitening. This toothpaste doesnt have any of that. Overall, for $9.99/2pack this is still a great toothpaste and price point as long as you dont expect it to whiten your teeth, only to protect your teeth from cavities, gingivitis, and sensitivity.

All in one toothpaste and my husband and I both liked it. Love that it’s a 4 pack, we always seems to run out of toothpaste and forget to grab in when grocery shopping. Very nice clean feeling, perfect mint burst and trusted brand that we all been using for years including kids. Of course we still flossing and using mouthwash as a regular routine but this toothpaste is absolutely awesome, my dentist approves of Colgate so I feel confident it protects my teeth and makes my breath fresh!

Im a fan of Colgate, their total toothpaste has been my toothpaste of choice for years. I was interested to see this toothpaste. I like this toothpaste, it has a nice clean flavor and a smooth texture. I remember when Colgate Total first came out. It was fancy and expensive. Im pleased to see my favorite toothpaste is very affordable at only $4 a tube. Overall very happy with the Colgate Total Whitening Toothpaste, Mint Toothpaste, 5.1 oz Tube, 2 Pack.

This toothpaste is nice and minty, tastes great and leave my mouth feeling fresh. This toothpaste is the regular white toothpaste as opposed to the gels and i like it. I like the consistency. The top is a pop up top and doesnt fit my tooth paste dispenser but thats okay. Its a great toothpaste and ill continue using it. Would recommend. Good price too
