> 3 dayColoretto is a very simple game to set up and learn. At its core its a trick taking game where you place colored cards in different piles and then push your luck by taking these piles at the right time to maximize the number of good cards you are collecting while trying to have your opponent take bad cards. These good and bad cards are determined by the the first three colors you collect (as colors beyond those three actually will count as negative points at the end of the game). What makes Coloretto so enjoyable is that its so easy to pick up and play. Theres enough strategy here for a light filler game to be engaging, but not too much that theres much analysis paralysis. so the game goes along fairly well. Coloretto is a really great intro to the whole concept of trick taking games which along with Cockroach Poker are perfect for younger players. More seasoned players may want to jump ahead to more advanced trick taking games like No Thanks!, Black Spy or Haggis, but Coloretto is a great place to start.

Greater than one weekFun and quick game. Easy to learn. Accessible to both novice players and people with lots of experience playing table tops.

> 3 dayInstructions are a bit difficult to understand but once deciphered this is a great game. Strategy can be simplified or made more difficult by altering the method of play, and I have yet to beat my 10 and 7 year-old kids despite the 13+ age rating.

> 3 dayEasy rules and the game plays pretty fast. Fun with either 3, 4, or 5 players. Its not mindless luck like UNO... Coloretto provides a nice balance of luck and skill (the best player wont ALWAYS win)... its more about playing the odds, stretching your luck, and screwing up your opponents.

> 3 dayThis is a family favorite. We play anytime people are together. Its great for kids all the way through adults. My only criticism is that it is a game that originated in another country (Germany I think!) and they werent as thorough as they needed to be with the instructions as written in English. We have had to look up a couple of points online.
