This is a small fan with 6 balades. You can feel some light air 5 feet from fan, but not much. Closer than 5 feet it kicks some air but then you can hear the fan. I bought for door room bed (UCLA - no AC dorm). For this purpose I need more iar and quiter. $19.99 is way high for this as similar (same no logo?) are less than half on AilExpress and elshwere.

i already had a usb-powered clip-on fan, so I got this ac-powered fan in hopes it would be stronger. Its actually weaker than the usb-powered one. It does have 2 speeds -- the off position is in the middle, and then on either side of that you get a lower speed or a higher speed. Due to the low output, you would use this positiioned fairly close to you, like 3 feet.

EDIT: Since writing this review I contacted the seller to report the issues I had with the fan. It was very easy to contact the seller, and I was sent a new fan free of charge. They stand behind their “lifetime warranty” so I am upping my review to 4 stars. I bought this fan less than a year ago, and now its broken. The fan shutters and makes loud noises when it is running, and the output has decreased significantly since the first use (probably a bad bearing). I use it at night time for my son during the summer months, and it is on for 12 hours at night (on a timer). I would not recommend purchasing this fan, and Ill be purchasing something different to replace this one.

The fan works good and is a lot quieter than the one it replaced and the clamp is plenty strong. But my only real compliment is that there is very little up and down movement, only left or right.

This fan works. It doesnt work exceptionally well, but its a pretty solidly built little fan. Its kind of loud for the volume of air it moves. No real complaints for the price. I bought it to keep air moving in a very small, cramped studio apartment with conventional radiant heat and just one window, to break up temperature pockets, and it does okay. My roommate and I no longer argue about the window being open or closed. It could be quieter and more powerful, but Im not unsatisfied. I was worried it would be a cheaply made, USB-grade appliance, but it isnt. Its on the bottom end of clip-on desk fans Ive ever used, but solidly in that realm. Amazon really thinks I should talk about its usefulness in travel, so I guess you could travel with it, just as you could with a stamp collection, miniature trebuchet or counterfeit Oscar trophy. I dont really know what else to say. Its a 110V model, so unless you have an inverter its only going to be useful in a hotel or RV, and I guess it would be about as useful in either application as it is at home. I dont find either particularly helpful. It wont do much under an RV awning as it just doesnt move that much air and the breeze is probably going to be a bigger factor. Your mileage may vary. Im happy enough with it. Its also nothing to write home about. If you want a cheap fan that will give you a decent, reliable breeze from a few feet away, youll be happy with it.

I would give a 5 but the clip will not stay in place. I want to put the clip upright but it falls upside down; the clip is not strong enough to stay upright.

Purchased this to keep multiple external drives in Docking stations cool. The size of the Fan as well as the clamp are just a little too big but I made it work and it does keep the drives cool. Lance.
