Contractor 333 Garbage Disposal 3/4 Hp (Contractor333) Black

I replaced an existing one that was the same as the new one. Very easy to replace got it installed in about 45 minutes. The adapter that goes on the sink was in perfect condition so I used it and this one just went right up into place. But dont forget to punch out the metal piece where the hose for the dishwasher hose goes. Had a friend install and he forgot to do that so water backed up in the dishwasher and all over my floor. Once that was corrected, good to go! The previous one lasted 25 years, that is why I got the same one. In fact the previous one was still working great but sounded like a bearing was ready to go so I just opted to replace it before it actually did stop working. When they do stop its never a convenient time to have to replace it.

I used the Contractor333 to replace my 17 year old Pro333 insinkerator that had fully died after it gave me a couple weeks of warning (whined and started slowly). It was virtually identical in configuration, and I kept my drain attachment in place so that the removal & replacement was a breeze. The whole job was done in less than an hour. Also, NYDirect had this new unit delivered to me six days ahead of when they promised.

It was easy to install comes with all the hardware needed. Works great and is quieter than the one I replaced. Quality upgrade worth a look if you are in the market.

The old Pro 333 top ring rotates, while the new Contractor 333 has a notch prevents the top ring to rotate. Thus, you may have to revise existing p-trap. Other than that, all is well.

If you want a good disposal that doesnt rust out this is a good one to get. I installed one for myself years ago and just bought two of these-one for my friend and one spare. Being 3/4 horse these are great and easy to install. A little more noise than the smaller horse models but not too bad.

Ease of installation

This replaced our old disposal by the same company that was bought in the 80s. Way out lasted the warranty. The company makes it very easy to replace with a new one and you can look up comparison to match what you had before. Very happy with it.
