This product is easy to carry with me. It helps my itches as well as treating simple scrapes. Very cooling.

When they discontinued Johnsons First Aid cream we about panicked at our house. Now thanks to other Amazon readers/purchasers, I tried this and am quite pleased. Thanks for posting great reviews Amazon!

We were so sad and surprised when Johnson & Johnson stopped making their first aid cream. Nothing has ever been capable of healing like that stuff! Not sure why they would ditch it to focus on Neosporin. At any rate, we wondered if this might be the same thing, and yes, it is exactly the same as Johnson & Johnson - heals the same. Better buy a whole bunch of it, since there seems to be a movement out there to do away with anything that actually works. 0_o

I find it hard to believe the J&J stopped making their First Aid Cream. This product was a staple in my medical cabinet and the first tube I grabbed for when I had a cut or abrasion. Im not sure if this product works as well. Time will tell.

I used to use Johnson & Johnsons First Aid Cream, which has been discontinued, much to my chagrin, so I thought. That is until I tried Antiseptic First Aid Cream. Its fantastic! At least as good if not better than the J&Js product. The cream feels is slightly less viscous than than its forerunner, i.e., its not as thick as J&Js, which allows one to apply it more evenly and smoothly; its also absorbed into the skin more rapidly. I use it as a pre- and post-shave cream for my daily wet shave. It works beautifully! I originally ordered two tubes, and after using it for a few days I ordered another six tubes. May this product stay on the market--it is the best first-aid cream Ive used and the medicinal fragrance some have cited dissipates shortly after applying the cream. I moisten my face before applying and it spreads with ease and is readily absorbed, there is no excess to remove--I repeat the procedure before and after shaving; this is an exceptional moisturizer and skin protector for those of us who wet shave. Excellent product--please keep it in your product lineup.

I used the Johnsons first aid cream for years for everything from poison ivy to burns to scrapes, etc. This is not at all the same, because Johnsons had a beeswax base, and eventually had a synthetic beeswax base. It is markedly different than the petroleum base other companies are passing off as first aid cream. I am guessing that beeswax, natural and synthetic, is getting costly, and is now priced out of the market. I checked beeswax health products, and they are selling for about $10 to $20 and ounce, making a tube of Johnsons first aid cream of 1.5 ounces in the $20 a tube range, not including the other ingredients. This particular cream doesnt seem to have any of the necessary ingredients as far as I can tell, and does not work for the conditions I used the Johnsons for... that being said, I dont know if it will be effective beyond being a suitable substitute for the original, which is the only reason I bought it. If anyone comes across a brand with a beeswax base, please let us all know, but I dont expect one to come on the market because the cost will be too prohibitive, which is probably why Johnson discontinued it. For some reason, beeswax in combination with antiseptic and anasthetic ingredients, had peculiar healing properties the petroleum lacks. At least that is my experience, others may experience otherwise, judging from the other reviews.

This is a good replacement for the old Johnson & Johnson 1st Aid Cream. Im happy to have found it. I dont understand why drug stores dont sell it.
