Greater than one weekThe biggest single point of failure on a laptop it is the hinges. I am concerned that this 5 pound monstrosity is going to put undue stress on those hinges and I’m gonna pay for it very heavily in the long run. I don’t know for sure but I do know that I have a handful of portable monitors that way under a pound, none of them are that fantastic and none of them connect to the laptop lid directly. I certainly love the idea and the convenience but I think the implementation here is just a little bit clunky. The monitor itself is smaller than your usual portable monitor and it doesn’t have near the resolution of the native MacBook screen nor the clarity so are you if you’re a person that needs everything to match this is not going to be the unit for you. That being said I got a decent usable picture out of it and I cannot say that for every portable monitor I’ve tried. Your mileage may vary but you’re going to have a larger set of icons off to the right. And you can only use this on the right side. This is not ambidextrous flip out. So that’s another thing to consider. Do you have the option to leave this permanently attached to your MacBook but you’re going to more than double the thickness so it’s another thing to think about. And the wait. I’m still trying to figure out why this thing is as heavy as it is. I still really love the idea and I think going forward future iterations of this product may get streamlined. And it does have a decent build quality to it. But if this thing ends up damaging the lid of my MacBook I’m going to come back here and give it a single star. I still have to check with the Apple people and make sure that this doesn’t somehow void the warranty by putting undue stress on the cover.

> 3 dayThis snaps right on to the macbooks screen/top lid. It lacks any kind of support like a kickstand or anything of that sort, but so far it has not needed it. The screen is 1080P HD, and is not quite the same quality as the macbooks screen, but it is good enough and it is nice to have a second monitor. Plug it in, no extra software or installation needed, and you have a second screen working immediately. You will need to fiddle with the settings to get the best picture you can out of it (which as I said is still not as good as the macbooks), but it is not too hard to do that.

Greater than one weekEdit: So after about 4 hours in total of use, it wont turn on anymore. I am in the process of contacting the seller to see if I can do troubleshooting help from them, and will definitely update again. If you have a job that requires you to work out of the office during the busy season, an extra monitor is an absolute must. I cannot even imagine working with just one monitor anymore. Its challenging, though, when youre on the go or out of the office/home office. I think this is an excellent addition for those who require an extra display on-the-go. My sister didnt realize that until she tried out this one. Its specifically designed for 13.3 MacBook laptops and provides a Full HD 1080P IPS display, offering sharp and clear visuals. The monitor is easy to set up, and its a plug-and-play device :) Its easy to carry in a backpack or laptop bag, making it perfect for business travelers, remote workers, and anyone, for that matter. The build quality seems sturdy, and the monitor feels well-made. If this one is as durable as I hope it to be, its definitely a winner

> 3 dayCrispy clear display quality, 1080P display resolution. Very slim, love the way it attached to my MacBook screen. No massy cables, the USB C cable attached to the monitor. Will recommend it to all MacBook users.

> 3 dayThis Mackboon external monitor is fantastic. It features a 1080P screen resolution, which provides a bright, smooth, and consistent visual quality. This portable monitor is primarily designed for MacBook and fits well into it. This portable display is composed of high-quality materials, has a slim and fashionable appearance, securely attaches to a MacBook, and performs above expectations. The kit includes all necessary tools, such as a type C cable, adhesive, a screen protector, and others. This monitor is very quick and works well. Overall, the design, display quality, functional ability, and durability are excellent, and the device appears to be well-branded. Only I fill it, and its weight is a little heavier than I expected. However, it is a good product that is well worth purchasing.

> 3 dayThe screen quality on this is just bad, I was very disappointed in it and for the price of close to 300 dollars I was expecting much better

Greater than one weekIf youre in need of an extra monitor while on the go with your MacBook, this portable monitor is perfect. The slim and lightweight design of this monitor makes it incredibly easy to carry around, and it even comes with metal and leather protectors for safe transport. This monitor is a great option for working remotely without any extra bulky cables.

> 3 dayI tried this out for 1 week and I returned it for the following reasons: 1) Its heavy and bulky 2) The magnetic screen covers wont stay on 3) The monitor will swing open when closed (and the covers fall off). I did like that the power cord was built into the frame of the monitor because I HATE cords. Unfortunately the cons outweighed the one pro.

Greater than one weekA very nice and slim portable monitor for Mac, display quality is good but not as good as my MacBook’s quality. Make sure adjust the backlight and brightness for better view quality.
