Like a lot of people, I imagine, using software like this, Im mostly using it to transform photos into paintings or other special effect looks. Its a lot of fun to do this, and quite easy! I was able to figure out how to make it work in minutes, and I loved seeing my photos transform. I do have to say its pretty slow. I am running this on a brand new laptop which is pretty top of the line, and still, it takes minutes to get the photos changed.

I shouldve looked deeper into reviews before I got this. It wouldnt download onto my windows HP..it would either take hours just to get to 27% or it would stay at 0%. When I looked up ways to get it to work you had to literally shut off all of your computers protection which was weird. I sent it back and got a different one from best buy (ultimate paintshop pro 2021)..just for it to have the exact same program on it..I had to message customer support to get it to download. They had me shut all my protection and administrator stuff off. It did download and its a decent program but kinda wishing I went with something else with a bit more options to it.

If you show a product as being able to do something in your advertisement video and it does NOT WORK on the program..... you really shouldnt be in business. And thats sad because Painter has always been my favourite drawing program. I tried contacting Corel to no avail. Painter 7 is missing functions that it shows in the video. Get it together Corel.

I use this photo editing software more than photoshop elements.

This is my first time trying editing software and WOW...really overwhelming how much you can do. My head is still spinning and I’m sure I’ll be discovering new features and ways to create art almost endlessly. I would have given it 5 stars but it’s a little complicated for me, maybe just because I’ve never used anything like this before....fortunately there are a ton of tutorials online to help navigate it

I ran Painter Essentials 7 on a Toshiba laptop with 32 GB RAM, a SSD, Intel Core i7vPro CPU, and Windows 7 Pro 64 OS.

This program constantly pops up ads on my computer screen, even when the program is not running. It is ridiculous to pay for a software, then have ads install on my PC for it.

I am not known for my artistic talent in any way shape or form. If my spelling is a bit sketchy. But I got this hoping to learn more about digital brushes, how they work, and what I can do with them. My daughter, she’s very artistic, paints both on canvas and using digital software. So I wanted to be able to understand some of what she tells me.

The Corel Painter Essentials 7 Digital Art Suite is a great way to get started with digital painting. You don’t have to invest a boatload of money and it’s pretty easy to use. My twelve year old grandson helped me navigate the software and we had a lot of fun with it. There are tutorials and lots of videos online to help you. We converted some of our favorite photos into paintings. Choose from styles like watercolor, colored pencil, Impressionist, Van Gogh, and more. There are so many media brushes and canvas textures and the results are very realistic. It provides many hours of fun.

Ive been using this program with a drawing tablet, both of these things are completely new and foreign to me. I have very little experience in digital art so its been a pretty steep learning curve. Im an avid graphite and ink user so this is just really out of my element.
