> 3 dayInstalled this Corsair RM 850X power supply in a Cooler Master HAF 932 case, connected to an ASUS P6T board with an I7-975X. Replaced a 5 year old TX 750M power supply. I thought the fully modular nature of the cabling might make connections confusing, but the cable descriptions in the manual and the labels on the Corsair power supply made it easy to connect. Also just make sure to note which peripherals need power; I powered-on, forgetting to connect the Graphics Card power. Not having all the extra unused cables from the semi-modular design really cut down on cable space. The cables came in a separate canvas-like holding bag, which was a very nice touch. The cables were sufficiently long to reach all the peripherals, including the one feeding the CPU at the top of the motherboard, furthest from the power supply; had enough length to run it behind the motherboard/chassis. Cant speak to noise levels since I have other fans in the case much louder than the power supply. Build quality feels solid; expect this to last at least 5 years.

> 3 dayMy old cx750 was quiet as a mouse. This thing is obnoxiously loud. Works well and dandy, but Im having trouble tolerating the coil whine.

25-04-2025Ive built my own PCs for a couple of decades plus; get a better computer for less money and I pick the components I want. All around good. This time, my 500w power supply worked for a few years and then started throwing out last-gasp power problems. Once Id determined that my PCs problems WERE the power supply, I went looking. This make caught my eye--most reviews online were positive--and I picked the higher-end power supplied. So far its like my few-years-old PC is a young punk again. Right now Ive got all ten internal devices (plus high-end AMD video card) plugged in and no problems anywhere. I like it, my PC likes it, and I figure in a few years when I build another one Ill have to get another one of these (my ex PCs retire into rotating positions as my server).

> 3 dayNo complaints at all. I run a decently powerful build and this was perfect for my needs. Easily powers a 2080ti and 9900k.

Greater than one weekThe fan in mine hardly ever turns on, so this thing is quiet. The only reason I know it has turned on is because of dust caught in the dust filter. The cables are hard, but work. I didn’t find them to short for my midsize tower. And I don’t think they look bad either. 10 year warranty is worth the extra 20 bucks over a cheaper model.
