> 3 dayPurchased to upgrade an Asus N56VZ-DS71, when installed the machine would not POST (boot failure). One of either module inserted would yield 8 GB, or one module with an OEM 4 GB Hynix module would boot for 12 GB but not 16 GB with both Corsair modules. These Corsair modules were re-purposed and installed in an early 2011 15 Macbook Pro and the MB Pro started right up with both 8 GB modules running at 1600 Mhz for a total of 16 GB useable RAM in the Macbook Pro. These modules are recommended for Apple MB Pros but not for an Asus N56VZ with which they are not compatible.
