> 3 dayI live in a 260 square foot studio in Manhattan and the air can get rather thick with dust. I was experiencing several instances throughout the day of sneezing fits. I would sneeze 10-15 times in a row sometimes 3 or 4 times per day. I decided to try this device and I can whole heartedly recommend it. I havent had one sneezing fit since plugging it in. It cleans the air of dust and other irritants very well and is worth the money which cant be said of too many products these days.

Greater than one weekIt’s easy to pull apart for cleaning. I use a furniture brush attachment and vacuum the outside and inner permanent screen most regularly. It also requires a damp cotton swab cleaning of the dust sensor fairly regularly—but that’s also quick. It was smelling mildewy after about a year, and changing the carbon pre-filter wasn’t helping, so I tried soaking the permanent screen in our big sink with warm water, baking soda and a little dish soap for a few minutes. I didn’t need to scrub or anything—just rinsed and propped it up in a safe spot to dry. It looked so much cleaner—and the thing hasn’t smelled since! I hadn’t realized how dirty it was. I’ll probably need to do that yearly or so I’d guess.

> 3 dayA very nice product. Looks great and is very quiet except on high which really moves a ton of air. Most importantly, it works! I have several allergies including, unfortunately, a minor allergy to my dog. Since using this product, I notice a very substantial difference. I used to wake with stuffed sinuses and something’s a bit of breathing trouble. After two weeks, these symptoms were fine. I never believed HEPA filters could work on a room scale level, I was wrong. Room is about 300 square feet with 9 foot ceilings. Works great. Completely happy with this purchase.

> 3 dayI have been using this air purifier for months. I can see when changing the filter all the contaminants my body does not have to filter out. However, the air quality detector seems a little off

> 3 daythis air purifier is a product with balanced performance. It performs well in air purification and offers convenient features. However, it has limitations in terms of noise levels, filter lifespan and cost, as well as coverage range. If you are seeking a well-rounded air purifier with basic functionality, it may be an option worth considering. Positive aspects: 1. Air purification effectiveness: The Coway Airmega AP-1512HH with its true HEPA filter performs well in filtering out dust, pollen, and other fine particles from the air. It effectively improves indoor air quality, especially for those who are sensitive to allergens. 2. Auto mode and air quality monitoring: The air purifiers auto mode and air quality monitoring feature adjust the fan speed automatically based on the detected indoor air quality. This is convenient for busy individuals as it adjusts automatically as needed. 3. Design and operation: The Airmega AP-1512HH has a sleek and user-friendly design. It features an intuitive control panel and easy-to-replace filters. Additionally, its moderate size allows for placement in various rooms. Negative aspects: 1. Noise levels: While this air purifier operates relatively quietly on low speed, it produces noticeable noise on high speed. This may be bothersome for individuals who require a quiet environment. 2. Filter lifespan and cost: The filters have a relatively short lifespan, and the cost of replacing them is relatively high. This may add some financial burden for long-term usage. 3. Coverage limitations: The air purifiers coverage is suitable for medium-sized rooms, but it may have limitations in large rooms or open spaces regarding air purification effectiveness.

05-06-2025The auto feature is wonderful as it operates at a near-silent level most of the time. With allergies prevalent in the family, we’ve noticed a true difference in interior air quality.

> 3 dayI was wanting a smaller room size cleaner as I have it sitting up near the ceiling in my wood stove room for the wood smoke.. AND, I wanted a remote control due to the height. HOWEVER, Im SO pleased with the auto sensor on the cleaner. When a puff of smoke escapes, the cleaner senses it and I see and hear the motor turn on high for a few minutes. When the air is cleaned, it turns back to low auto. I will buy another for my bedroom as hayfever season is coming and that will be a huge test on how it cleans the air!

> 3 dayI just bought my second Coway Airmega - because Ive had the first one for 5 years, it still works great, and I needed a purifier in another zone of my home. This time around, I needed something for my office. The microphone I use for calls somehow picks up pretty minimal background noise - but this purifier is perfect. The 1st level is nearly silent, and level 2 is quieter than our bathroom fan. I typically put mine on level 3 to sleep, because its really good white noise. I really like that this model uses a pretty big air filter, so it catches a lot. Every time I clean the filters or replace them, Im impressed by what it picked up. The ONLY downside to this air purifier is the notification light on the top - theres an indicator light that changes colors depending on air quality in the room. When trying to sleep, its pretty bright, so weve covered the light with tape. Other than that... its so nice, I bought it twice! TLDR; if you want an air purifier that packs a punch, but also has a super quiet setting, stop looking and buy the Coway Airmega!
