This integrated perfectly with my home network, where most of the components (router, other switches) are Netgear products. No issues, plug and play, worked great right out of the box. Good value.

**UPDATE** After a bit of use, this has developed a nasty high-pitched electronic ring/hum to it. Since these can be/generally are tucked away in a closet somewhere Ive only knocked off one star, though if this was something thats meant to be on a desk (mine isnt tucked away in a closet somewhere) Id knock off two or three stars - its headache-inducing bad. **Original** So far, I dont have anything negative to write about this switch - it works for PoE devices (make sure your device accepts a standard PoE - some PoE devices dont run on standard PoE and this wont work for those devices), its silent, and its high speed. Id like to see more activity lights on it - theres just one per port that lights up if its connected and the same one blinks for activity (same color). The only slightly suspicious thing about this is that it looks/feels almost exactly like other no name brand switches on Amazon - like theres just a big factory that manufactures them then companies slap their branding on it and resell it. Thats not a problem as far as performance goes, I suppose, just makes you wonder about the quality/support of the product down the road. That being said, overall, Id still recommend this switch.

Solid performance, running security cameras over PoE. Came with all the hardware that I needed to mount the device, shipping was prompt with no damage to the package. Yup - all as expected.

Great product overall, gigabit-speed with Poe also really like the standard power cord and not the bulky one that most of these Poe switches has and very good price. Thanks

Theres enough per channel PoE power of 30W for, e.g., a Linksys access point, which needs around a claimed 15W. Did not test very heavily as our application only calls for supporting three access points and a connection back to the WAN enabled switch. PRO - No wall wart - PoE - Activity lights - No fan CON - Unmanaged Theres a thick line in the switch pricing tier between managed and unmanaged. Maybe Cqenpr will try to blur it in a future PoE switch product. Unmanaged is great for saving money until they go bad; in a multi-device network it can be devilishly hard to find a bad port. I worry about using for remote surveillance when youre hours away from the site and your network is unmanaged.

Does exactly what I need it to do. Got a whole home security camera system setup thanks to this switch at an amazing cost

I was very pleasantly surprised by this switch. Its running four high definition PoE IP cameras and isnt blinking. For the price, its a great deal. Its very sturdy and quite a bit heavier than my other 8 port switches, which is only to be expected as theyre not injecting power. It seems very solidly made.

Ive been using this for a couple months now powering 3 security cameras, and Ive had no problems. Technically, since there is no separate input port, this is only a 7 port switch. Im sure there are many other switches with this same feature, but you do need to plan ahead if you actually need to power and connect 8 devices. My 4 port Netgear PoE switch does have a dedicated input port so you can connect 4 devices. If you have 7 or fewer devices to feed, this looks like a good option.

This Cqenpr 8-Port Full Gigabit Poe Switch measures 7.9 x 4.7 x 1.9 and weighs a shade over 2 pounds. The package contains the switch, a power cord, and mounting hardware. What I liked most about this Cqenpr 8-Port Full Gigabit Poe Switch was: - Lightning protection. I live in an area where electrical storms are a regular occurrence. Having this technology built-in was more a necessity than luxury for me. - Intelligent power management. According to Cqenpr this switch will automatically identify the power supply for PoE devices without damaging non-PoE devices, smart power management when the power demand of the receiving device exceeds the rated output power of the Poe switch, it will automatically disconnect the power supply of the low priority port to avoid overloading the machine. - Auto port flipping. What I liked most about this Cqenpr 8-Port Full Gigabit Poe Switch was: - Its a niche device. This switch was engineered for the home, home office, or small office that needs to power POE equipment like cameras. Its not exactly suitable for use as a traditional networking switch due to the lack of access to granular network administration controls. Overall, if youre specifically seeking an affordable switch for your PoE devices this Cqenpr 8-Port Full Gigabit Poe Switch has lightning protection, intelligent power management, and automatic port flipping. You wont be able to properly configure a network with this switch though which makes it more of a niche item than a viable solution for multiple environments but for the price that isnt a bad compromise to make. 4.0 out of 5.0.
