Greater than one weekCraftsman Tools may not be the legendary tools that your grandfather used but they still make some handy tools. I own a few different tools from Craftsman and they havent let me down yet.

> 3 dayExactly what you want in a level, straight edge, 3 bubbles, durable enough it doesn’t feel like it’s going to bend after you inevitably drop it a few dozen times

> 3 dayIf you are thinking Sears when you think Craftsman , you may not realize that Black and Decker bought the Craftsman name in 2017. I have been pleasantly surprised by the cost/value ratio for the new Craftsman products.

Greater than one weekAt first, I was impressed with how many features they packed into this little guy. I thought Craftsman might be making a big push to taking their good name back. To my disappointment, I then realized the bottom was not finely ground like some of my other levels and there were even some burrs left on the edge. The burrs made it seem really cheap, but I quickly ground them away and now its fine.

> 3 dayThis is a handy tool that Im using for determining if shelves and mounts with multiple points of hanging are level especially when Im hanging items above my head. I use this to make certain the holes I want to make are level with each other by marking the spots. There is a small cylinder with green liquid and a bubble for determining if the marks are level or not. To help with this, the cylinder also has 2 thin metal-looking rings for judging the placement of the bubble which helps a lot. I dont have much experience working with levels, but note that there are 2 other little cylinders - one at a vertical angle and the other at a tilt with small bubbles. These 2 also have 2 thin metal-looking lines for each cylinder for when straight vertical lines or straight lines along a 45 degree angle are desired. I havent used the level for anything other than determining horizontal placement so I cannot address using this for vertical or angled placements. This level is bright red so it should be easy to find although Ive already misplaced this it because its so compact. I have found it again. There is a magnet on the bottom of this which I dont quite understand why. I rate this at 5 stars because this is compact, easy to use, and very helpful when hanging items where its important to verify that the hanging points are straight and in line.

> 3 dayA 9 level is an indispensable tool for me. I do a lot of carpentry, and while I trust longer levels more than shorter ones, there are just too many times when I either cant fit a longer level...or am just too lazy to go find it. A small level lives quite nicely in a tool bag!
