Creative Grids Quilt Ruler 9-1/2in Square - CGR9

Creative grids makes rulers for quilters and is a great product if you want seam allowances added on. The ruler grips the fabric and doesnt slide like a lot of the other brands. However, I find the markings confusing at times as one side has 1/4 inch seam allowances added and another has 1/2 inch seam allowances, which I often forget; then I cut the fabric to the wrong size. If I used this more often, I would probably remember. As it is, there are lots and lots of numbers on this ruler, each measuring something different and all looking misleadingly the same. I often use another ruler to make sure the measurement I want is the one I am looking at before I cut. Not so easy to use.

I typically love the creative grids rulers because they have a built-in non slip feature. This ruler slipped quite a bit

The ruler is as advertised. Clear to read markings and it does grip the fabric nicely.

I bought it about a year ago and havent had any major issues with it. The gripper can be a bit rough on delicates such as silk as it may pull fibers during sliding on the fabric. It happened to me once and now I usually just lift the ruler up when placing it, instead of sliding to the next piece. I still like this feature a lot but Im more cautious with delicates now. It was a good value for the money.
