Creative Grids rulers are my favorite ruler brand. Easy to read - with my very old eyes. I especially like the shaded margins.

This ruler definitely does not slide. However some of the grips are in the way of the size I need to see.

I wish that I had tried Creative Grid Rulers first. They are the best I have used. They hold the fabric so you can cut the fabric without it slipping. The clear see thru ruler with easy to read numbers make it easy to use when you are cutting out specific areas of a repeating pattern for that special design you are making. Unfortunately I have a few other non-slip rulers that I will replace with Creative Grid rulers.

Great ruler for making 9 inch finished sized blocks. Love the non-slip feature.
