I bought the Cricut EasyPress2 for its portability. I wanted to be able to press when I travel. I got so much more than I expected. I love the test bag and htv that came with it. This was awesome for trying it out without chancing ruining one of my own items. It heats up so much faster than my traditional heat press. It is also MUCH quieter than my traditional heat press. This will be awesome for late night projects. I pressed the onesies above at 305 degrees in 15 second intervals. I pressed each one twice and did not use a teflon sheet. The EP2 delivered a great press on each piece. It is super easy to use. Just press the temp button (then the + or - symbol) to adjust the temperature and the timer button to adjust the time. It features a warning sound if you leave it turned on. After the warning sounds, it will shut itself off. I am going to use this from now on for my quick or small projects. If you do not have a heat press, this is so much better than using an iron. If you do not have a heat press and you are buying this as your only heat press, I recommend getting the larger one. This size will not cover an adult shirt in one press. Also go ahead and order the heat resistant mat. You will need something lay your garments on before you press.

Ive tried so many ways to adhere my daughters Girl Scout patches, and they all are so tedious & always turn-out at least a little wonky. I saw a video online of someone using this heat press for their Girl Scout uniform, and decided to give it a try. This heat press is *amazing*. It heats up quickly, you can apply several patches/badges at once, it takes very little pressure, and it gets them to adhere well. Best of all, it gets them on fast! Just heat to 375, pre-heat the vest/sash for 15 seconds where you want the patches to go, then place the patches on the vest & press them on for 20 seconds on both sides of the vest/sash and youre done! Worth every penny!

I purchased my Easy Press 2 in December of 2018, and was absolutely delighted...for the first 3 months. After that, I noticed ALL shirts I used HTV on would have vinyl peeling like a sticker during the first time wearing. Trying my own trouble shooting, I purchased an infrared thermometer and discovered that the press was heating not only radically unevenly throughout the heat plate, but it was also 60-80 DEGREES LOWER than what the display on the machine read. (Siser easy weed HTV presses at 315°F, but I have to set my machine to 385°F to get the machine to actually reach 315) Since I was over the allotted time that Amazon allows returns, I went through Cricut. After jumping through hoops (they required me to shoot a video showing the failure), the Cricut representative informed me that my infrared thermometer was wrong due to the reflective nature of the heat plate (sidenote: thats not how infrared works- to test my sanity, I used the thermometer to read a mirror and the wall beside it, and it was only a 2 degree difference). Cricuts customer service refused to do ANYTHING despite the fact I had only had my machine a few months, and they kept INSISTING that my thermometer was wrong. Bear in mind the fact that if my Easy Press 2 was actually heating at 385°F (as the readout shows) it should havr completely singed my shirts and melted my vinyl. Some of you may be thinking, So, just set it to 385°. Thats actually exactly what I have been doing. However, this problem seems to be degenerative. Every couple of weeks, I have to bump my set temp another 5 degrees to achieve the desired 315°F. At this rate, Im going to max out at the highest setting with no where to go within a month. Once that sad but inevitable day arrives, the machine will achieve its destiny of being my households most expensive and oversized paperweight. Despite my experience, the reviews for this model continues to be outstanding. I cant help but wonder if I got a very rare lemon, or if everyones glowing reviews are given too soon. I LOVE the portability and ease of this product, but if it wont heat enough to actually adhere my HTV, it really serves no purpose.

Great starter heat press. Requires you to constantly apply pressure and heat multiple times. Nice for small projects but would need to upgrade to at least a 15 x 15 if you are doing larger vinyls and more t shirts.
