Cricut Tools, Scoring Stylus

Not totally impressed with the Cricut scoring tool a it scores so lightly that it is almost non existent. My product arrive on time and is functional, considering my previous statement. Do not believe it is defective. Just not really great..

This tool is just what I needed. Works well with a light card stock. I almost went with the scoring wheel, but am glad that I didn’t. As an accessory, I do not have to remove the cutting blade on my cricut explore air 2.

At first I was thinking that I could do without the scoring tool for the cricut, opting to just score the items/cutouts myself. I just find that it is so much easier to just let the cricut do it for you. I am sure there is other alternatives that you can substitute with but it is nice to buy something that was specifically made for the cricut to use. Then you do not have to worry about the fit of the stylus in your machine. I would highly recommend to anyone that has a cricut and does a lot of project that require scoring to be done to buy this as part of your kit. It will save you the time and the hassle of having to do all the scoring yourself. It is very help especially when making boxes or cards.

I love the ease of use. It works on the Explore Air in the tool holder and makes precise scoring marks. I would love to be able to adjust the depth of the stylus, but dont know if thats possible unless separating the tasks of scoring and cutting into two jobs. Makes quilling easier to do now that I can score where I want my strips to go.

Let me say first that I am totally new to vinyl crafting and just purchased my Cricut Maker a few weeks ago. That being said this scoring stylus is not what I expected. On light cardstock you can barely find the line. Perhaps there is something else for the maker? I found that on darker colored cardstock you can see it better but it doesnt help at all for folding.

I don’t think I needed this but now that I have it I wonder how I managed before it! It’s simple enough. I bought to use for my Cricut Explore Air 2. It’s very easy to use. Just insert into clamp A until it snaps in. It makes a clean crease to make folding much easier. Such a great buy!

Saw a scoring tool at my local craft store but it was $70. Bought this one for much less. It was a cinch to use this with my cricut, which made my project much easier: Cutting and folding 30+ birdhouses to hold treats for party favors. Score!

This cricut scoring tool made my job easier...Im able to make my own envelopes, tiny gift boxes, and tiny gift bags! Just perfect for my crafts!

Cricut Tools Scoring Stylus is a must for your Cricut Explore machine! Ive been using it for paper crafts that I normally score and cut by hand. This allows me to setup a file and have the Stylus score where I need my folds to be and then the blade will cut out my cut lines. The Stylus snaps in to the Pen holder on the Explore. Very easy to use, no cons yet but I will update if there are. Thanks!
