My current laptop, the ThinkPad T490, had only 8GB of ram. Further complicating issues, one of the ram slots is soldered to the board, so caution must be taken to ensure that the two different ram sticks will be compatible. Luckily, this ram that I ordered seems to work just fine, now 16 GB instead of 8 GB appears in my system resources.

Not this products fault but opening the HP ENVY was a challenge. I wanted to play with various VirtualBox guests and this required more than the original 8GB. Everything works like a charm. No problems at all.
