> 3 dayBy now SSD SATAs speed is not impressing anyone. Still they are competitive in terms of price/perf with QLC based SSDs for external storage.

> 3 dayI have only put this in my PC a week ago, so if there are any longer term issues I will come back and comment. So far however it works really well and the For Crucial clone software did its job nicely too. However it was a little limited in that it wouldnt let me change the size of the partitions which was slightly annoying, I tried to change the partition scheme from mbr to gpt too and yes it wouldnt do that either.

> 3 dayLike many of us I’m currently working from home due to the pandemic and found the first couple of weeks frustrating as my laptop is 9 years old and not used to having any demands made of it. I ordered some extra RAM as a cheap and easy upgrade, but after further reading decided it would be worth upgrading the hard drive to an SSD. I used the Crucial website to check which one I needed and then ordered it from Amazon via their link. I also ordered an enclosure to enable me to clone the current hard drive. I figured that if nothing went to plan, I could keep the drive in the enclosure as an external hard drive regardless.

> 3 dayExtremely easy to upgrade the HDD in my Asus laptop using this SSD from Crucial & the instructions on their web site. They also provide a link for a free download of Acronis True Image which, in tandem w/ the instructions from Crucial, really makes the upgrade a snap for anyone to perform. Should have done this years ago! I am seeing a 5X improvement in boot time using this drive. The only thing I am unsure of is the lifespan of the SSD drive, for that only time will tell.
