Crucial P1 1TB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe Internal SSD, up to 2000MB/s - CT1000P1SSD8

I ordered one of these when I first started building my gaming pc about 9 months ago. It is still holding up great, it hasn’t lost any speed or had any signs of wearing out so far. I would highly recommend this product to anyone I know.

Questo modulo SDD interno della Crucial P1 1TB CT1000P1SSD8 SSD, arrivato in una confezione un po essenziale (SDD custodita in un blister di plastica) e stato uno tra i primi SSD NVMe M.2 realizzati con la tecnologia QLC, io lo sto usando da alcuni mesi e montato su una mainboard MSI B450 Tomahawk Max per la pura necessita di poter accedere sia ai dati che archiviarli (senza disdegnare il Gaming) in maniera piu veloce e performante. A livello pratico, nonostante le ottime prestazioni dichiarate (lettura/scrittura sequenziali fino a 2.000/1.700 MB/s.) ho notato che il P1 come quasi tutti gli SSD NVMe M.2 di questa fascia si surriscalda molto rapidamente con un conseguente calo prestazionale, consiglio quindi un dissipatore (spesso incluso nella maggior parte delle schede madri piurecenti. In conclusione rispetto ad un classico HDD dopo aver installato questo Crucial P1 ho rilevato due aspetti sostanziali, una velocizzazione delle fasi di avvio e riavvio del sistema operativo ed una accelerazione delle operazioni di utilizzo delle applicazioni un vantaggio che qualsiasi upgrade verso l SDD comporta in ogni aspetto di utilizzo del computer. Nota un po dolente, il suo rapido surricaldamento e cali prestazionali quando si trasferiscono file o mole di dati di molti Gb. Alla fine un discreto SDD che fa il suo dovere con un buon rapporto qualita/prezzo (garantito 5 anni) da prendere in cosiderazione, secondo un mio punto di vista, con una spesa che non superi i 100 euro, mentre con un budget leggermente superiore opterei sicuramente per altri SDD piu performanti e duraturi.

Great budget NVMe SSD for the price. If you plan on almost fully filling up the drive its probably not for you. Using the space up to a certain point will make it slower or as fast as a hard drive on long file transfers. Other than that, I get the advertised max read/write with it. Its crazy fast although boot speeds will probably feel almost identical to a normal SATA SSD. Installation is also extremely easy, as its just a screw thats tightened to hold it in place. You can also just leave the drive hanging while connected to the motherboard if youre missing the screw or youre just too lazy to install it properly. I understand that there are some who have experienced an early mortality on their drive so Ill update my review if anything happens to mine. Overall, I find this product to be a great deal and I cant recommend it more for the price.

Performance was not mind-blowing, it was only a bit faster than my Samsung 860 EVO SSD, but it was a whole bunch cheaper.

This is the second one that has gone bad on me within 3 months. I will never use crucial products again.
