Best straps ever! So easy to use, and they strap down kayaks and paddle boards! Wouldn’t ever buy another kind!

We live in Hawaii and are routinely strapping boards and kayaks to our car. That are the best of any strap weve used, so when we needed another set for our other vehicle, I didnt research at all. I just found these and purchased them again.

Nice color, quality and feels heavy duty. However the protective sleeve to prevent scratching a car or cracking glass is too small to cover the metal cam section. The picture used for the ad is misleading - the sleeves arent large enough to completely cover the metal cam - it will sort of cover most of it for a few seconds after stretching it over the cam section, but after a few seconds, it retracts and leaves metal exposed. Very nervous of using it on the glass roof of my Tesla, and also worried about damaging my boards when not in a board bag.

Dakine really are the best. They make tying your SUP down incredibly quick and simple. A friend had recommended them and I brushed him off thinking that my straps were awesome and secure, but when he finally showed them to me I understood. Theyre really thick, wide and the tooth locking system couldnt be easier. The padding under the metal keeps your boards safe from scratching. Keep it up Dakine!

Everything is great about this system if you like pull throughs. The quality and durability are there. The neoprene padding works extremely well. However, its one piece pull through, so you have to fish 12 of strap through your roof racks and up over your board while keeping the locking part straight and in one place. Translation: youre running around your vehicle trying to get this thing latched up. Since its a pull through and not a ratchet strap system, you can only get it so tight. I have a Yukon so there is a lot of reaching, stretching, pulling, and jumping on and off my bumper half a dozen times. Lol Its totally my fault for not paying closer attention when buying this, but I would have much rathered a 2 piece ratchet strap system that joins in the middle and ratchets really tight with minimal effort.

Fantastic for getting gear on the roof. The rounded edges keep boards and other fragile things from getting wear and tear.

Great straps, its long enough to hold my 9 foot surfboard with only one strap.Very solid and reliable.

I liked these well enough but WoW one trip with them up the Cali Coast and they just started to disintegrate, maybe I got a bad lot. Gotta get them replaced....which is a bummer AND the price went up. Thats a load of crapola. I guess thats Amazon just offered a credit not a replacement...guess they know they were gonna have to eat the difference.....strike against Dakine and 2 strikes to Amazon.
