> 3 dayThis seems to be a problem in all of the sock industry (shoes also). They make XXL or size 15/16, and the socks are long enough along the sole, but the manufacturers seem to think that a size 15 or 16 foot is no wider than something much smaller. Same for the calves. So in essence, yes the socks are long enough, but man are they tight. And that is from a tall, average build guy (height-weight proportional). put it on, forget its on feel? No way. The material feels good - lots of cush on the sole. But I have only worn them for a few minutes, and I dont know if I can go much longer to really test them. If anybody from Darn Tough reads this, feel free to contact me for measurements. Im tired of being uncomfortable. Maybe at near $30/pair, you can blaze the trail on socks that actually fit in the XXL arena.

Greater than one weekthese are advertised as being large or even extra large, but all they change is the foot size of the sock and the calf/shin size is still the same. which means your leg is going to feel like youve got a tight wire wrapped around your calf. would not recommend this unless they change the calf size to match the foot size, because why would you buy a large/extra large sock if its not going to fit your large/extra large leg?

Greater than one weekOkay, these were bought so I could hike Philmont NM. I wore another highly rated expensive brand on Saturday for a practice hike then wore these on Sunday. I threw the Saturday pair in the trash can and ordered 2 more pair of these. I love these socks so much I wear them to work with dress slacks. These are amazing. And even better I will have them FOREVER as Darn Tough has a life time warranty (based on the quality I may never get to use the warranty though). If you like your feet this is a must, even for everyday wear!

> 3 dayChecking my order date, it has been 4 years since I purchased these socks, along with some Thorlo wool/silk hike socks for comparison. Both socks were put in my daily rotation, as well as taken on every hike (a few times a year) and bit of travel. While this sock is still alive today, it definitely has some wear spots that have gotten thin enough for me to want to replace it. Its commendable that theyve lasted this long I suppose, and in a vaccum I may have given an amazing review, if not for the Thorlos having stood up to the same test far better (Ill leave a review for that as well if you care on the Thorlo page). The socks are comfortable, but not quite as plush as most other wool brands. At first, I thought this must be due to some special blend that made them tougher, after all, they are called Darn Tough (awesome name, clearly selling well because of that). In practice though, they were no tougher than any other wool sock Ive owned--actually, they are on the weaker side of the wool socks I own, and more expensive to boot. One advantage to being less plush is that they do feel more seated in the shoe (though that can be fixed by tightening laces). Ultimately, these are pretty good socks. But for me, they fell short to a superior sock. After 4 years, Im looking to add a new contender to the mix, and match it to the current champion: the Thorlo. In another 4 years I may have something different to say.

> 3 dayThey are a nice pair of socks. They start out a bit coarse but gradually get softer. They are a bit tall but still a good buy.
