> 3 dayWe used this dye on cushion covers for a set of wicker furniture that sits in our patio room. My husband wore gloves while dyeing, and he still had blue hands for four days. The color covered well in the beginning and looked quite nice. It hasnt come off of any other fabrics (like when you sit on it). However, after about six months, the color has faded drastically to a very light blue, without any washing or exposure to water. I wouldnt recommend it for anything that sits anywhere near any light.

> 3 dayThis is a beautiful cobalt blue dye! It can be mixed up in different water to powder ratios to create different shades. I mixed my dyes with the soda ash, instead of pre-soaking my fabric in soda ash and this dye didnt lose vibrancy for about 8 hours of use. In comparison, the fire engine red mixed the same way lost vibrancy after about 45 minutes.

> 3 dayIf you dye, this is the stuff to use. If doesnt wash out and can be used with cold water. At this very moment, I have leather sandals immersed in their Jet Black. These sandals were given to me and I hated the color. I removed the gold color with nail polish remover but they were so resistant to every other type of leather dye, I almost gave up. Then I thought, what the heck. This dye is seriously amazing.

> 3 dayThe internet suggested that I could try using this to dye wool and cashmere, and since I dont want to use a hot water dye and shrink my garments I thought Id give it a try. I either used too little dye or the water could have been less cold, but the the effect was small. I started with a grayish cream that turned a nice shade of light grayish blue after hours of soaking in the cobalt dye. I liked the outcome but if anyone has tips on how to get a more intense color without shrinking cashmere, please let me know!

> 3 dayOnly reason I knocked it down a star is that it barely held 1.5 tablespoons of powder. Now there is a blurb about ‘filled by weight. Powder density. Yada yada’ but when your instructions say 1-4 tablespoons, shouldn’t you have at least 4 tbsp in the jar??
