Not the best pixel density (not in par with Macbook screens, as you should expect) but good quality screen overall. Built sturdy. Matte screen. Easy to adjust for your desired height and angle. Swivels horizontally.

Excellent screen for productivity. Replaces 2x my old 22 inch screens and feels much better. Brightness, colors and picture quality is excellent. Looks great on the table.

This monitor is exactly what I was looking for. Though it’s curve is more subtle than the others I was looking at, I find the screen very enveloping. I’m also less distracted than when I was using 2 monitors. Using with MacBook Pro, no issues at all. Bonus is the reduction of the cables & clutter on my desk.

This is a gorgeous monitor, elegant and professional looking. I can’t stop looking at it. Lol! Set up is a breeze, was able to do it all on my own in 10-15 mins. I connected it to the display port and I was able to use it right away, no set up needed. No dead pixel, no bleeding, no IPS glow. Day1, it felt a little too big though I am coming from three monitors - 17/19/20”. But the next day it feels normal and it has so much real estate that I don’t miss having multiple monitors. I use the comfort view preset mode and it’s really easy on my eyes. I don’t need to use my blue light glasses anymore. Brightness is really good, I had to reduce mine from 75% to 53% cause 75% was too bright for me that I felt I was getting headaches (I have sensitive eyes to light). I use this monitor for work only - mostly emails and spreadsheets and it’s really pleasant to use. Text is sharp enough for what I am using the monitor for. Can’t complain with the pictures either though I do not use this for photo/video editing. It doesn’t have a speaker but I am planning to get the Dell slim soundbar soon. I haven’t tried the KVM/PIP/PBP features because I don’t have the need to do so as of the moment. My only minor complaint is that it’s hard to reach the ports at the back of the monitor. I have mine set up close to the wall and when I tried to use the HDMI/USB-C cable to test them, I had to move the entire monitor to see and reach the back. Also I wish it’s a little more curved, but I didn’t want to spend $300-$500 more for the Dell U3421WE model. So I decided to go with this P3421W monitor. I really want to stay with Dell monitors because of the quality. I have a sit stand desk and a very stable stand is a must so it won’t fall forward or move everytime I adjust my desk. And 3600R is not bad at all. It’s still comfortable to use, I can still see all corners without moving my head which is important to me cause moving my head left to right (even little movements) strains my neck. I love that height is adjustable, it tilts and swivels too. Makes it easier to customize for a more comfortable position. Yes, I’m very happy with my purchase!

So far so good, I use this with the 16” MacBook Pro and have had no issues with the monitor and it doesn’t get hot charging the MacBook. Picture quality seems great but I am primarily using this for large spreadsheets.

Update: the latest firmware (M2B207 - July 2022) corrects the issues I had experienced with the KVM. My one remaining quibble is the KVM only supports two devices, even though the monitor itself can connect three (HDMI + DisplayPort + USB-C) because there are only two upstream connections (USB-B & USB-C) for devices to access the monitors ports. So if you want to share a keyboard and mouse amongst multiple devices, this monitor can handle two but not three. I rate it 4.5 stars with the latest firmware. ---- The P3421W is my first ultrawide and first curved screen, but I bought it specifically for its built-in KVM. The size is a reasonable replacement for dual screens, though it is still noticeably smaller than two 1080ps, as you might expect based on the resolution. The curve looked strange for about a day and after that I stopped noticing it. What drives me crazy is the KVM. I use it to switch between a Mac and a PC. I do not use the PIP/PBP features (it really isnt big enough for that). But its always a gamble whether switching from one input to the other is going to find a signal, particularly if one machine has just woken from sleep. Switching back and forth between inputs can put the monitor into a state where neither its joystick nor its power button produce any response, and the monitor needs to be unplugged to reboot it. Clearly the monitors firmware is buggy (Ive updated to the latest). Unless this is fixed, I cant give it more than an average rating overall.

I use this monitor for my work. I am a software engineer and need multiple software/programs running which I can see simultaneously. Picture quality is great, no configuration hassle and overall the monitor looks really beautiful on my desk.

I have had this for a year. Was very happy with it. Quality was great. All of a sudden now the screen is starting to shutter. I’ve checked cables, I hardly ever touch it, use it just for work. Not thrilled for how expensive it is to now start to be dealing with issues with the screen. Not thrilled. Need to now find someone to look at it to figure out the issue.

My general thoughts: I am very satisfied with this display. I did a lot of research on the best fit for my situation. I wanted something that appeared somewhat professional and sleek, and most of the options in the price range are tailored for gamers and look like gaming monitors. I first looked at 4k monitors so that the resolution would be that far off but there just aren’t many ultra-high res options for less than $1,300. I forget exactly how I found this display, but I am glad I did. At the time of purchase, it was $679. I noticed as of a few days later the price went up above $700. I am sorry to see that for anyone interested in it. I was a little nervous about the resolution but had to remember I was still stepping up from a $150 1080p 24” monitor. I plan to use this connection to a new MBP, I am still on the fence about waiting for the possible updates next year. For now, I am using a windows 7 machine that I built like 8 years ago. Anyway, back to the resolution, 1140p looks good compared to 1080p and the fact that the screen is enormous is a real game-changer for productivity. I use mine for school and work and man it’s amazing having the windows side by side. Where I work, I have 2 monitors set up, I just prefer this so much more though. It’s clean, using less power, fewer cables, and does the same thing. You can even get “super ultra-wide” but I think it’s a bit overkill, at least for me. I recommend reading all the specs and features because there are many. You might find more info on dell.com. Connectivity & settings: I plugged it in using a DP (display port) and it calibrated itself. I dint not change any settings, the aspect ratio was perfect! Color calibration and all settings are perfect. I will not be adjusting any of it. That’s cool to me, I mean I spent hours adjusting my 70” 4K TV. I still mess with it after years of ownership. Don’t forget this display comes with HDMI and Thunderbolt inputs with a few USB ports. So you could have this running your laptop and keeping it charged to boot. Image quality: It might be that my old monitor just sucked, but I am so happy with this purchase. The image quality and clarity are fantastic for what it claims to be. This monitor is not advertised as UHD so if you expect UHD, it’s not. But seriously, most people out the can relax about that. This is not comparable to say, an iMac retina display. So it would look out of place next to one, but as your primary display and laptop in clamshell mode, this is not going to disappoint. I downloaded a ton of high res ultra-wide images for my backgrounds. They look awesome. I ran a couple of color and gamma tests and this display was calibrated perfectly right out of the box. Plug and play, in my experience. Oh, it is worth noting that it is pretty bright, no complaints about brightness. Build quality: I like the design of the display because it looks great at the home of the office. I am not a fan of gaming-style displays, they just look a little cheesy to me with added logos and lines. I think of this monitor as a conservative luxury design like a BMW 5 series vs. a Honda Civic Type R. Nothing against the Type R, it’s an outstanding automobile and an engineering marvel. It just looks like a cartoon. The bezel is about 1 CM and it has a ¾” chin at the bottom. It comes out of the box with a film on the screen. Most people won’t even notice it, and it is hardly noticeable except for the very edge and appears to be protecting the screen so I will be leaving it on unless it starts to peel naturally or something. Included in the box: It came with several cables! I was thankful for that. I think it had a power cable, HDMI, DP and a USB-C, and some cable management accessories. The box was the least impressive part for me. It is very generic, just regular old cardboard, and the lady sat it down on its side in front of my door. Wind could have blown it over or something. Hey, she got it to me in working condition, so all good. Bonus: I also ordered a new desk pad and Logi mouse. Both are awesome!
