Using this for web development, general purpose and gaming. A lot of companies go with Dell so it helps to have one when designing to ensure what you see is what you get as far as colors and contrast go. It has lots of connectivity, good cable management, excellent stand and vesa mounting. Ive used monitors with better menu systems (like LG) but it gets the job done

This monitor is so good for the price. I am a college student and this is perfect to get school work done.

Overall it has a pretty clear picture and is easy to maneuver and connect to other devices. It does have some flickering/lines that are noticeable especially on white backgrounds and when youre close to the monitor.

Having suffered long enough using a small 12 EGA LCD monitor on my old IBM homebuilt compatible, we said enough was enough and after studying the field, chose this unit. The CONS: 1. No Audio 2. No Remote: fight the lower right hand buttons for everything. 3. No AUTO Detect mode despite having an AUTO selection under inputs. More of a DUMB Monitor than not. Navigation is clutsy; changing from VGA input to HDMI input is a hoop stepper which we will have to learn to memorize. 4. Amazons Incognito packaging step did not work. Our monitor arrived with DELL Flags flowing. 5. Not sure if this is a DELL issue or a Windows 10 issue: power saving modes thwart timed UPDATES. Since DELL is the businessmans favorite (offices full of DELLs) you would think the individual machines could update during the night without personal attention. Maybe a GATES Hole or blunder. DUNNO. The Pros 1. 27 inch screen is very helpful and fits the room well. Bright, crisp, enjoyable. 2. Has a 1920 X 1080 display which WIndows sets up nicely. Clear & readable. 3. Responsive for the most part.

Got this a couple weeks ago, and its been just what I wanted. Its bright, clear, and the response time is definitely good enough for the level of gaming I do (Im not a pro by any stretch). Overall, I would definitely buy this again. I didnt see this in any reviews or anything, and it doesnt matter for me in my use-case, but it does have vertical, rather than horizontal polarization. I discovered that by accident. Normally in my experience, you can see monitors if youre wearing polarized sunglasses, but if you tilt your head, they go black because the polarization then combines to block your view. On this monitor, the polarization is aligned by default so that you can only see if you tilt your head, if youre wearing sunglasses. That would only be important in a very few applications, and if you have no idea what Im talking about, dont worry about it because it doesnt apply to you.

I use this almost daily as my primary monitor and its worked well for the first year, purchased May 2, 2019. Unfortunately, over the past few weeks it turns blank for a few seconds. Power cords are securely attached and other devices on the same power strip do not seem to be affected. Sadly for me, the support period ended in October 2019. Ill update once I hear back from Dell Support

Input switching is horrible! And Dell is aware of it. And they dont do anything about it. A software update would be nice, HELLOOOO! A lot of people have complained about it. Dell used to be my favorite brand, but I am so beyond done with Dell. Never buying anything Dell ever again. Waste of money! S*** brand!

yes, you could upgrade to the Dell U series for far more money, but for the average user / businessperson, the P series are the best value for the money out there, imho. Very nice on the eyes, easy to work with all day, and very accommodating to the average modern computer with USB-C ports, and HDMI outputs are easy to connect to todays laptops. Works great with Macs or PCs, no worries. The Displayports are another matter, these do not easily work with Mac computers, be warned, especially if you are using any form of dock.

This monitor is very clear and easy on the eyes to work at all day long. The colors seem to be very accurate and the edges are clean on text and images, bright enough to work in the office lighting. Great monitor for every day use, I would recommend it.
