> 3 daySo far I am very pleased, it is well built, very comfortable and it extends higher than most shop stools, and the assembly was quick and easy, unlike most stools, the casters were already attached, and it comes with additional feet if you don’t want to use the casters, it seems to be of very good quality, like you would expect from DeWalt

> 3 dayDewalt shop stool. Comes mostly together - just install the seat. My husband was so happy. Declared this is favorite gift this year. It has really sturdy wheels and rolls nicely - of course better when the shop floor is clean - but even with a little stuff on the floor it does well. Its very very heavy duty, weighty. The seat part is comfortable (according to hubby). He is a very big Dewalt fan - he would recommend this stool if you need one. It adjusts up and down about 5 or so. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers- ever. For some reason our shopper ranks are no longer visible - so, to give you a little more info about me, I am a top 50 reviewer (#30 the highest rank achieved). Those numbers used to fluctuate over time - up and down but I noticed that they stopped updating regularly - perhaps to phase them out. Its a shame because it did help you see who has been around the longest and who is a trustworthy reviewer. Ive been doing reviews for over 25 years with Amazon - over 6,000 reviews posted, those reviews have been viewed well over 50,000 times, including over 24,000 likes. Bottom line, I pay for all my stuff, just like you do.

> 3 dayIt was very easy to assemble, it’s sturdy, easy to move around, but there must not be any padding in the seat. IT’S SO UNCOMFORTABLE! I’m very disappointed! I got this for my husband for his shop because when he stands a long time, he has hip and back pain. This has not helped because he doesn’t use it much because of the comfort issue. I will be modifying it with a nice pillow, I think.

> 3 dayThe DeWalt Shop Stool. I was sold. So, I purchased it the first time I was on Amazon. When it arrived, I was sold a second time. Easy assembly. I share the opinion of other buyers who shared their slight dissatisfaction with the 3 wheels and their performance. I immediately went to Lowes and found some larger, 4 wheels of better construction and materials. I replaced these wheels on day two of the DeWalt chaIrs arrival. With the improved wheels, I can tell you this chair is upgraded. Sturdy for the shop or garage. Best Ive ever seen. Finally a great shop stool!!

Greater than one weekNeeded a heavy duty stool for my 275lb carcass. This fits the bill with relative comfort. Came in three pieces - went together in a snap.

23-11-2024I love it. I do wish they made a version with real back support like a drafting chair. That said, I use this thing every day in the shop. You can have either casters or fixed feet. I use the caster and like I said, I use it constantly working at my bench. Great buy.

> 3 dayFirst, I’m a Dewalt fan. I have both the XR and regular full set cordless kits, angle grinder, various bit kits, the planar all sorts of stuff. So as much as I like the Dewalt quality, it does pain me to leave a bad review. But this stool is a straight up torture device. This one’s a miss. I work full time in a workshop and got this to be more comfortable in the workshop. I like how freely it spins. l and the height adjustment with and without the wheels. I also like the little back rest. It helps keep me centered in the chair. For the harbor freight wooden workbench I found it was a perfect height without the wheels. What I don’t like is when I’m sitting, any movement other then to spin makes popping and snapping noises. Don’t lean to the sides, forward or backward. I’ve gotten off of it a few times because I was afraid it was breaking. I weigh about 220, definitely within the weight rating of this stool. The absolute WORST part of the bench is it’s lack of padding. It had about the thickness of a #2 pencil eraser in padding. I can sit on my stool in my workshop for upwards of 20+ hours a week. It feels harder and more uncomfortable then stadium seating. I can feel a stinging sensation sometimes after long sessions. It just straight up hurts after a while. Like sitting right on a wooden bar stool. I’m not looking for some plush pillows too bean bag chair. I just want to sit in something that didn’t literally sting after sitting on it for long periods of time. I will be looking to upgrade and for me being. Dewalt fan just seems weird to say.

> 3 dayFirst, a few cons that I have experienced- 1) wishing it has a foot rest attachment to use when fully extended high. 2) Also, in the opposite range, wishing the stem would compress lower (maybe down to 18 inches from the floor), to reach the ground without having to dismount. Seems it would be to hace it that low if the casters were removed and replaced by the fixed boots that come included. 3) And last, the seat padding can get a bit stiff after a couple hours ride. Pros- That being the case, I do enjoy the convenience of mobility by having the casters on all the time. These casters are, hardy, smooth and quiet. The overall assembly was easy. Basically, screwing in the casters or boots (your choice), then placing the hydraulic stem riser in the pocket of the base and the seat locks to the top. The build is solid, yet in spite of its rugged looks it is lightweight, making it able to lift, carry and store easily. All in all, this is a great buy.
