> 3 dayI bought this for a HAM radio antenna for my Jeep after a YouTuber recommended it. Quality appears to be excellent. I really like how you can adjust the angles easily with high flexibility and the paint protection/anti-rattle pads. I don’t like the way the ground wire works (basically just tighten a tiny screw through your paint until it hits metal)... this likely isn’t a good long term connection strategy for a high vibration application. It’s early days, but already I’m thinking a better placement is in the rear behind the spare. I had wanted it on the opposite corner from my CB to avoid interference if both were on at once, but I think pragmatically this isn’t likely to ever happen and I’d rather have a cleaner look and no sight line interference.

> 3 dayI bought this on the recommendation of a very popular YouTuber who I follow, TrailRecon. I installed it at the edge of my engine hood on a 2020 Toyota Tacoma and paired this base with the Midland 3dB gain Ghost Antenna and the Midland 15w MicroMobile GMRS Radio. Hands down, the most difficult part of installation was getting the antenna wire through the rubber grommet on the firewall. That step alone took 80% of the installation time. The rest was literally plug-and-play (of course you have to plan where you want the radio to go, but thats something not relevant to this review. Once installed, I was hitting the repeater on the far south end of my city while I was in my driveway, surrounded by houses on the very north end. Super happy with this entire setup!!

> 3 dayI’m not a professional, but I have owned a few grease guns in my life. This is by far the best grease gun I have ever used. Great pressure and the fitting seem to work for every thing I need. I use it on my jeep and my boat. No issues

21-11-2024This mount works great on the hatch of our Town & Country. It’s easy to access vs a roof / roof rack mount!

> 3 dayThis mount was installed on my 2021 Chevy Silverado for my ham radio. It is sturdy, fastens tightly, and the slim coax allowed for easy pass through my fire wall.

> 3 dayAfter only being installed 1 week, the protective rubber that protects the paint surface detached on 1/2 of the mount and allowed the mount to rub on the paint surface. The outside heat (100 degrees) caused the adhesive to fail and slip and now does not align with the shape of the bracket. For $100, I do not think this should have happened.

> 3 dayMount is too big for most compact hatchbacks. Best used for HF antennas. Comet makes a better mount for VHF/UHF on compact hatches.

> 3 dayI replaced my HAM antenna mag mount with this unit and I couldn’t be happier. They’re meant to install over trunk lid or door edge but it fits perfectly on my Prinsu aluminum roof rack. It sturdy, well grounded and the smaller diameter wire was easy to run through the truck. The included clips made it easy to secure the wire in the door jams without allowing the wire to be pinched or kinked. I bought another mount for my GMRS antenna mount I liked it so much!

> 3 dayHooked up nicely on my 2009 Jeep Rubicon. I mated this with a Larsen 2/70 and it works really well. Larsen claims that you dont have to tune that antenna. Ill be honest, I hooked it all up and went for a drive and I was shocked at how good the reception was. I havent changed anything.
