Dominion: Nocturne Board Games, 144 months to 9600 months

Solid expansion. Neat new mechanics and tons of cards!

Great addition to the main game! It ads an extra phase in your turn called night phase. Very interesting.

Great expansion. Need to have a strong foundation of the original game before playing this. Love the concept of Boons and Hexes! The night phase cards are really unique and add a cool new element to the game. Some new cards are a little weak compared to others which make them rarely used.

It was a birthday gift for my Daughter in Law. She has every pack except that one.

So, Ive played Dominion for years, but hadnt started my own collection until I bought this (along with the base cards). However, I quickly found that this expansion is too overwhelming if its the only set youre playing with! So, I quickly bought another set to add to this, to dilute some of the complexity. Nevertheless, Nocturne is a fun and interesting set to play with, so long as you are experienced and/or are including other sets.

By far the BEST expansion of this game!!! We have now played Nocturne combined with every other expansion, and it works so good with all of them!

Im a big fan of dominion, and own all of the expansions. I was particularly excited about this expansion due to its dark themes, and some of the cool artwork that I had seen posted in previews. All I can say is that it isnt horrible, its much closer to mediocre. The cards arent really that original. Some of the new mechanics on cards require some tedious combinations with other cards in the set, but dont really amount to much. Although a bit tedious at points the cards were clearly written and straightforward. I also really liked the addition of the Night phase to the game, its really a neat concept that I hope they include on cards in future expansions. We havent tested every card in the set yet...There might still be some interesting interactions between this expansion and others that my friends and I havent discovered yet. All I can say is that we ended up shelving Nocturne after a few game nights, and took Dark Ages off the shelf and played that instead. Overall, I wish there were some more potent cards in the set... I guess I figured it would be a set heavy with curses and attacks.. there are some but I was hoping for some more evil cards to better fit with the theme of the game.

Of all the Dominion expansions, this is the one we enjoy least. Half the cards are good, so we keep those in the rotation. The rest are kinda meh.
