Greater than one weekI bought this when I was having issues with my current deodorant at the time. It was giving me redness and irritation plus bad odor. Even after multiple showers. So I figured my armpit was just extremely irritated. But i still had to put on deodorant. I gave this Dove Men+Care a shot and it really helped me get through. It didn’t irritate as much or at all. And helped control odor. I stopped using it once I got better and switched to a different deodorant brand. I will buy again if needed.

> 3 dayLikes: seems pretty effective at blocking nasty, wet armpits Dislikes: doesnt block BO as well as my previous deodorant; pretty expensive; while it doesnt cake up in my armpits, I dont really like the white powdery residue. Im not sure that using this forever wouldnt end up messing up my t-shirts sooner than a gel based deodorant.

> 3 dayIf you sweat a lot, then this deodorant/antiperspirant is what you need. I dont sweat that much, but I appreciate the extra protection I get from this. There are two ways to apply it: 1) in the morning before you go out of the house, preferably after a fresh warm shower, or 2) the night before, so it has time to set in your skin. I sort of understand the logic behind the second one, but Ive tried it and all it does is get dry, caked deodorant all over my bed in the morning, so no thanks, I will apply it in the morning. Im not sure there is a smell to this. Its supposed to be Clean Comfort. Its a slight smell, but most of the time I spray a few spritz of cologne on for scent. A lot of companies are making clinical strength deodorant now so you can pick the brand you like. If you sweat a lot, or just want strong protection, get this, you wont have to worry throughout the day about feeling fresh, because you will be. Recommended.

> 3 dayI’m very impressed by this product. For reference: I’m a black (Nigerian-American) male with sensitive skin. The last thing I’ve been unable to figure out was how to get my underarms to stop reacting to products. I tried a lot of antiperspirants without any improvement, so I figured my skin didn’t like the Aluminum (active ingredient). I ended up switching to a deodorant (both regular and “natural” brands) instead of an antiperspirant. This helped with my skin reactivity but these other deodorants would stain my shirts plus I was missing the antiperspirant effect. Finally, after reading these reviews and doing more homework on the mechanism of action of antiperspirant products on sweat glands, I decided to give this a try and I’m happy I did. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS! Apply this [preferably] at night, and let it be for [preferably] 24 hours before you apply again. You don’t need to use a lot of product—only two clicks as it suggests. The idea is that you want this product to contact you armpit skin’s sweat glands as evenly distributed and as efficiently as possible. I’m a mild-to-moderate sweater and this technique works perfectly. Make sure to lightly wash your underarms every 24 hours before reapplication—this will help with staining. As far as the antiperspirant effect goes, the aluminum binds to receptors on your sweat glands to temporarily shut them down. For me this lasts about 24 hours. It might be shorter for some and longer for others. Experiment with this only AFTER you’ve followed the initial directions. Great mild scent, great applicator, and effective ingredients. Good luck!
