Purchased for a friend and they like the leather and the fact that they can stand their iPad up.

This replaced the one I bought from Verizon store made for Apple. The cover was separating along the bottom edge. This is very nice, I like the elastic on the inside cover for ease in holding it. It stands horizontally in the inside cover grooves. The covered volume buttons work. Others might prefer an open area like the Apple cover had. The only disappointment is the dark blue almost black cover, that does not look like it does in the picture. Still pleased with the purchase, since it will protect my iPad mini.

I like the cover and layout very much. The hand holder is nice when I am reading and holding the device in portrait mode. I wanted this kind because it matched the Belkin one I had several years ago and its now worn out from regular wear and tear. Unfortunately this case didnt fit perfectly on my mini iPad. I have confirmed this case should fit my mini iPad 2 but its off by some millimeters on two sides so other sides are protected. I debated returning it since the fit was not perfect. Im disappointed by that but I didnt see other cases on Amazon that would be what I wanted. I will see how this works for a longer period of time since Im reviewing this at the beginning of having this case (only a week). The slots for the angled viewing are great. I can understand other reviews where the wear and tear of the inside cover will result but hopefully it will take some time.

I really liked this case and the quality but it is significantly heavier than most cases. I returned it because it was too heavy to carry around in my pocketbook. I weighed it on a food scale - 3 lbs vs the slim vinyl one I purchased was 1lb.
