This game takes around 90-120 minutes with a 5 minute set up. The game may start a bit slow and luck-based (depending on your draw). But as the game progresses, rounds become very intense. You must balance all your resources and optimize your actions. You must weigh the pros and cons of every action and pay attention to your opponents. Conflicts become very important and the intrigue cards can be make gameplay very exciting. Games get very close near the end and often come down to tie breakers. Its extremely fun and full of strategy. Every game is different since theres an infinite number of combinations you can create with your deck. Theres also great room for synergies between the factions. Overall, I love this strategy game. Its so fun!

I like the deck building elements and that isnt not just a race to get the best card. Cards you add to your deck have different ways to play it which means its not a matter of picking the best cards faster or being lucky. The game is also rather intuitive while still having a lot to calculate. The only critique I would give, other then the somewhat muted color of the board, is that it feels like there could be more things. Maybe its me, but I can see expansions giving more houses with more interesting play styles. Though its not meant to be a highly Asymmetric experience, still like the game and would completely recommend if you like worker placement or deck building .

Played three player version of the game and loved it. Bought the next day since it claims to support 2 players and we are a couple. Game arrived today. physical cards for two or solo play were included but also installed app on Pixel 5a running Android 12. Inadequate instructions for 2 player game. Tried to play anyway. App hung. Only way to clear app was to restart phone. 3 player. Moderately difficult to learn from video. Video had no instructions for two player game. Better to just play a game or two with 3 Not a good gift. Can see it being too overwhelming and have it sit on shelf. We play many games. This is similar to Lords of Water deep or Agricola. Great game, lots going on with 3-4 players.

One of my favorite of 2020. Such a fantastic game. I love everything about it. I just want to keep playing this one. Great to play solo and with up to 3 players. Havent tried it at 4 players yet.

If youre looking to buy this game as a deck-builder, I recommend looking elsewhere. If viewing this as a worker placement game where deck-building can tilt the style of play, this is a must-pick up. I enjoy the tense decision making and the card/worker interplay. Ive also played 1 and 2 player variants and the free companion app is well done and easy to implement. Its not a cheap game, but it deserves a place on your shelf (and table!).

This game is priced at $50.00 dollars on Dire Wolf’s website. Don’t overpay, buy it somewhere else. Fantastic game.
