> 24 hourNo instructions, had to search online to find out how far to space the brackets apart (found someone saying18-20). Also use a 3/8 drill bit for the bolts (again no instructions on that). Make sure you drill perfectly straight (sarcasm) because the u bolts you need to tighten dont provide you any margin for error. If you dont drill perfectly straight through the board you will need to likely remove the washers so you can get enough thread on the u bolt for the nut to catch on.

> 24 hourNot much to say about brackets- they are successfully holding our glider swing into the swing beam and I didnt hear too much moaning and groaning from my husband as he installed them. They are hefty brackets so Im hopeful that means they will last us until our young children outgrow the set- Ill update if I have issues, but so far no issues after a couple of months.

> 24 hourUsed to supplement a glider swing installation. Eastern Jungle Gym knows how to design and construct quality wooden swing set accessories. I am really impressed with everything I have bought that has allowed me (a 78 yr old grandmother) to build a double incredible wooden swing set for grandkids 12 and 3. I intend to add a tower/fort with slide in between the two swing sets to tie them together. I am having a blast.

> 24 hourThis bracket is a nice upgrade over the stock bracket that came with my kids Kidcraft glider. Quick install, very solid. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourThese Eastern Jungle Gym Glider Horse Brackets are made of welded, heavy gauge steel. They are nicely finished to eliminate welding splatter and sharp corners. They are, if anything, overbuilt for the purpose as are the other Eastern Jungle Gym swing components we used. I cannot imagine that even very active children could stress such heavyweight parts. The painted finish is smooth and generously applied. The paint appears to resist abrasion well. I was prompted to comment on the brackets because I had read a number of comments by other reviewers stating that the u-bolts they received are not long enough. The comments piqued my curiosity to the point that I contacted the company to inquire whether there is, or was, a run of short u-bolts. They assured me that they were not aware of short u-bolts, but they were aware that some folks apparently experienced problems. They did say that it is not necessary to remove the u-bolt nuts during installation, only loosen them enough that the top beams can be centered on the swing beam. I can confirm that the u-bolts I received are perfectly sized for the purpose. When tightened properly the bolt threads projected one thread past the nylon lock-nut insert. Be aware that the brackets do not come with installation instructions, and that might cause some problems. I found the installation self-explanatory but, since I installed the brackets after the swing set was erected, it was a bit more challenging. If possible, install the brackets (and swing hangers) before raising the swing set. The brackets I received came with through-bolts that require drilling accurate 90 degree holes, as do the swing hangers. It is certainly easier to drill accurately on sawhorses down on the ground rather than up on a ladder. (Some reviewers state that they received lag-bolts to secure the brackets. Makes me wonder if they might have ordered brackets from another manufacturer.) Overall these brackets (and all of the Eastern Jungle Gym parts I have used) have far exceeded my expectations. (I represented a number of manufacturers of various kinds of finished steel products over the years and have a critical eye for quality.) I do think that an instruction sheet should be included with the brackets or available online, particularly since removing the u-bolts might cause problems. Id also recommend heavier packaging and some padded packing material to keep the parts separated in shipping. That said, the parts arrived in great shape and were easy to install. The acid test; the grand-kids love the swings and accessories. Try as they might, the swing-set stands rock solid and secure.
