The package arrived very quickly. I used these boards to wire a simple 2 player, 3 button MAME cabinet. With joysticks, buttons, player selects, coin inserts, and an Exit, I needed 19 inputs, and this 2 pack was perfect. The included connectors saved me time stripping wires and soldering, and helped keep things organized.

No instructions? Have experience in using these but, had to dig for a wiring diagram.

I was modding an arcade1up cocktail table with a Windows 10 Big Box setup. I thought K1-K10 could be in any order but I was definitely wrong. When using Retroarch with the Mame (2016) core as the emulator, Midway games like NFL Blitz and NBA Hangtime were showing in the button diagnostics, that a few button combinations were not registering. For example, I couldnt do button combos with Turbo in those games, meaning I couldnt shove in NBA Jam, or Stiff Arm on NFL Blitz. It turns out, when you go into Mame key mapping, this board shows K1 as RY-, and K3 as RY+. It also shows K2 as RX+ and K4 as RX-. This wouldnt be a problem unless you need to hold down K1 and K3 or K2 and K4 simultaneously because these are joystick assignments... meaning it will not allow you to hold both joystick left and right at the same time. So essentially my workaround is just map Buttons 1-6, only including one RX and RY so I can press all six buttons at the same time without conflict. So my button configuration if anyone wants it is for Button 1-6 is K7,K9,K2,K3,K5,K6 which translates in Mame as A,B, RX+,RY+,L,R. My Start button = K10, and Coin button= K1. And I used L2 which is K8 as a back button for Big Box. The only problem this would give is if I need to Press Coin button with Button 4 - I cannot do this key combo simultaneously. I hope this helps.

I used this kit to replace the wiring in an X-Arcade based cocktail table, and it is so much more robust now. It sends signals as native Joystick/Button presses instead of keyboard, so configuration and testing is now done in Windows USB game control settings.

20 years ago, I used an IDE cable, RJ45 jacks and some networking cabling to wire up my ol homebrew HAPP Controls 4 player cabinet. I remember working in my basement for hours with a soldering iron and a serial cable mapping keyboard controls. I bought two of these kits a couple weeks ago. It took me less than 2 hours to completely replace the hardware with this kit and it is a HUGE upgrade. The KE72 was amazing for its time, but it did have a few hiccups (doing Dalsims teleport in SF2 HF never worked) but the Easy Gadget 2 is INCREDIBLE. Zero Delay really does mean NO Delay and all buttons can be pressed at the same time without a problem. The wiring kit fit my Happ switches perfectly and the picture included in the document made it a breeze to connect. The longest time I took was to add some wire length to some of the leads (about 3) for a couple buttons I had lower in the cabinet. I was unnecessarily concerned if the extra length would impact performance, as all the buttons worked perfectly. As a guy who started with hacking keyboards in the 90s, I wish I could give it 6 stars. Amazing.

Works just fine for Raspberry Pi. I cant detect any latency, and all the wiring is made easy with the included loom and wires. Sometimes the slots come undone, but there are so many that you can easily just use the next one.

    Sucks

I bought these to update an existing MAME control panel setup. Unfortunately, the delay between the control action and the on screen reaction is so long that it makes games unplayable. Very disappointed.
