*** updated my rating and review - after several months I can no longer remove 2 of these from my valve stems. i have seen others complain about this in their reviews and can say thats where i am now as well. Im sure Im going to have to have those valve stems replaced and am trying to coinciding that with needing new tires on the car in question. On my other car I dont have the same problem removing them but i try them and remove them often just to make sure they dont get stuck. I also have them on my bike but regularly have to inflate/deflate my bike tires as conditions dictate so i am often removing these caps and dont allow them to get stuck These caps do just what youd expect them to. The metal is better than the plastic ones youll usually find, and the color choices allow you to either add some style to your wheels or have the caps blend in with your wheels. Not sure I would go out and buy these to replace valve caps I already have, but I needed a set anyway because some jerk stole mine off my truck one day while I was parked at the train station. I have black alloy wheels and I think these caps blend in a little better with the wheels. Not sure theyll do anything to deter the next jerk from stealing them, but they are threaded a little deeper than regular caps and take a little longer to get on and off, so maybe the fact that it takes a little longer will deter the next thief and theyll move on to the car next to me.

Product became discolored after less than 6 months on a vehicle that is parked indoors and has covered parking at work. Photo shows unused caps on left and 9 month old caps on right. Maybe this is why its an 8-pack...

Really nice color match for my Mojave.. It feels sturdy and durable but to early to talk about durability.

As expected

The color fades with time. Cap in the middle is unused. Purchased October 2021. Now July 2022. Car kept in garage except about 12 hr per week.

Keep in mind how light a material aluminum is. Based on other reviews these caps are made of aluminum. I thought for sure they were plastic. I checked to see if there was an oversight on my part, that perhaps I didnt ensure the material they were made of before purchasing them, but sure enough, the description says, made of aluminum. Aluminum. Okay. WHAT was I thinking. Maybe a sturdier gauge of aluminum??? They looked fine in the picture. Just like the ones I was going to replace. I really only needed one. I am using just one, period. These are alright. But I expected a heavier gauge aluminum. If you want to upgrade the appearance of your wheels, these are an inexpensive alternate to stock plastic caps that come with tires and valve stems. I dont remember paying a lot for the ones these were to replace and these looked just fine in the picture; an almost identical match as such. If these are the same ones I bought over seven years ago, they last a long time provided you or some service station doesn’t lose one two or any of them while, say rotating or replacing a wheel. Its a bit deceiving and looks to me to be different from the item you get at your door when its delivered to you but they aren’t all that bad. They’re very light and now that I think of it, the one I screwed onto the valve stem felt like it might not have been machined all that well. So you might experience a minor manufacturing flaw At this price it “should” be okay though. Just ensure to hand screw them securely into place. Be advised that if you are unhappy with these, my experience was that they could not be mailed back. You have to take them back to a store or drop off point. For me? Too much trouble and more wasted time. Am I unhappy? There was a lot of uncertainty on my part and I was in a bad, bad, bad mood before writing the original review I posted for this item. I’m over it.

Unfortunately, I didnt listen to the one-star reviews, and even worse they are all true. I have had these caps for 6 months and they all faded. On top of that disappointment, every single cap got so stuck on that I had to replace the valve stems because the rubber got all stripped off trying to get them off (10mm diver and pliers). My stems are brass too so its not just a steel problem. If you want these just paint your plastic caps the color you want youll get better results.

Purchased these without putting any anti seize or lubricant on them and they corroded onto my valve stem. Tough luck for me.
