Ecosmart 50W Bright White MR16 GU10 LED Light Bulb (3-Pack) 1001654142 - New

I needed to replace a burned out vent hood light. These bulbs provide a bright, soft white color. They do dim but you get a bit of flickering common to dimmed LED bulbs. There is no discernible flickering on high.

I got tired of short bulb life so I switched to Sylvania which I am very happy with.

Between two houses I have bought around 200 bulbs of this brand over the past 13 years to replace incandescent lighting. Began with fluorescent, most of the first ones I purchased are still work today. When LED became available I bought them exclusively. Sure, some have died prematurely but the number is very small, havent kept track but would estimate under 3%. I think they are a great value for the price and was disappointed when Home Depot discontinued.

Cant really speak to the longevity since they have only been in use for a few days, also not using in a dimmable situation but seem to produce ample light at a nice price point.

So far the lights nave been perfect for replacing energy hogging, hot, halogen bulbs and they are very close in color temperature to the halogens I am replacing (I replace them as they burn out, 12 lights in a soffitt installation). Its been very difficult finding the proper color temperature (most trend toward cool-blue-ish) which does not match the warm yellow of incandescents (regardless of whether the advertised color temperature being warm).

These start flickering quickly and Totally take away any energy savings that you would gain because you have to replace them often. I have replaced them multiple times with this brand as I bought extra to use down the road but it hasnt been a year and Ive used all my extra bulbs from flickering. Done with them! Ill find a flicker free bulb

Used these Ecosmart lights for a while and never had issues with them. They have a nice balance of bright and warm.
