elago W3 Stand Compatible with Apple Watch Series 8/SE2/7/6/SE/5/4/3/2/1 (45mm, 44mm, 42mm, 41mm, 40mm, 38mm) (Classic White) - Classic Monitor Design, Compatible with Nightstand Mode

I bought one of these for my original Apple Watch and used it as my charging stand for that watch and a subsequent Series 2. Everything fit fine, and, if I had reviewed it, I would have given 5 stars. However, the 44mm Apple Watch face was large enough that the top of the battery charge indicator was invisible behind the top of the window frame. Unfortunately, you need to see the top of indicator to see if charging has been completed. The Amazon web page claimed that it was compatible with the Apple Watch 4, so I assumed that the window had been made slightly larger to accommodate the larger face on the 44mm Series 4. So I ordered a new stand for my new watch on 9/22. Unfortunately, as the supplier has confirmed on 9/24, there have been no changes. So I have now returned it. The Amazon should really have a note in the main listing about this problem. Edit (2018-10-12): The heading for the item now provides a caution for those with the larger watch by specifying Series 4 (40mm). However, the text does not clarify the problem why its not recommended for the larger watch. Also, some of the additional material does not qualify the Series 4 compatibility. So my rating is now 3.5 stars.

Looks great. I don’t have the cable just lying on the nightstand. Watch would fall many times with just the cable. Now its placed nicely and looks great!

It is relatively sturdy; i was surprised. Happy with my decision to purchase it!

Lets call it what it is - its a great little toy to hold your apple watch magnetic charger and to slip the watch into. It holds the screen just right to look like an old school macintosh. Loading my magnetic charger was easy, just slip the USB cable through it and insert into a cable harness to keep it in place. The watch just slips down from the top vertically, holding the back against the charger where its supposed to be and activating the apple watches nighttime mode. (as can be seen in the photo I uploaded) I dont keep my watch on the charger all night, its usually only charging for like an hour as Im watching tv or surfing the net. Its still a cute novelty when needed.

Looks great on bedside table. Works great!

Got this for my wife who occasionally wears her apple watch, now the watch can serve a function even when it is not in use!

This has got to be the most satisfying dumb product Ive bought. I wanted something small that would hold my watch and I was totally enamored with the throwback concept of this. All in all it works exactly as expected and is a good travel companion to boot. Is it life affirming? No. Is it the highest quality Apple-esque overpriced Tim Cookery you expect from the tech monolith? Nuh-uh. Will it make you smirk a bit whenever you lay your watch down to sleep at night? Quite probably. Will you feel guilty for the couple bones it cost to get one. Highly doubtful. If youre looking at it and smiling right now, just pull the trigger. You very likely will not regret it.

Well, this thing is awesome. I had a different charging stand for my Apple Watch but the watch was very easily moved off the charger by my cats. The new kitten batted my watch onto the floor and under the nightstand and I couldn’t find it for two weeks. I don’t have any better place to charge it than my nightstand, so I was in a Situation. I found this charging stand in some article online and thought it might be perfect for my space. The way it holds the watch might actually be cat proof. Now I can actually use Nightstand Mode on the watch, while not having to worry about where it will go. It fits the charger perfectly and the cord is threaded through the back. This is just what I needed, and the fact that it’s so cute and retro makes it even better.

Its SO cute and easy to use. Elago is just incredible at designing things that are cute, functional, and made with great quality. The watch pops in and out with ease! I have a 40mm Series 4 Apple Watch and it fits well, with a small amount of gap in the borders you can only see at extreme angles. Mine had a small defect in the silicone (a small dark speck by the disk drive) but I dont mind it. As a bonus, Im more inclined to use this as my clock in the middle of the night... instead of looking at my phone and getting mentally woken up by all the notifications!

I read about this little gizmo in a blog and thought it looked fun so I ordered it and have to say it exceeds my expectation. Its just a little lightweight molded soft plastic or hard foam, whatever you want to call it but it looks pretty fun and works well. I was worried that it might be too light and the watch would make it tip over but its quite stable. Basically, its an upgrade over just using the recharge cable. With the cable you need to position it and I found it sometimes got bumped on my night table and then would separate from the watch. With this, its easy. I drop in the watch, sometimes I do up the strap making it look better, sometimes I dont. It acts like a little clock. I think it protects the cable. I hate to give it five stars because I dont want anyone to think its more than what it is... a simple little stand for your watch that the charge cable fits neatly in. Its made of some kind of rubbery foam. But knowing thats what it is and for the price, its perfect.
