I’ve been using it for a couple months. It works ok sometimes. Sometimes I have to press buttons multiple times for it to work. Sometimes the buttons are super sensitive and trigger too easily. The quality control is not good. My unit randomly makes a high pitched noise and it has backlight bleed on some of the buttons. I’m not very happy with my purchase. Unfortunately my exchange window closed.

Im very satisfied with this glorified macro pad. The software that comes with this device is super easy to use, there are many pluggins that make your life easier and on Elgato’s website you can create your own icons. I have a pluggin that lets me monitor temps, usage, etc. A lot of macros that opens up softwares and many more. Highly recommend.

Mine had at least one key that would stick. Great idea but I returned it because I needed it to be reliable.

I find the deck extremely useful for video games, video editing and for anything I need to use repetitive things for (like writing the same text or opening the same programs).

I dont use this primarily for gaming but its perfect for my day to day work. I am a Systems Engineer and I have so many tools and daily things that I need to use. Assigning quick launch buttons for my programs and websites is a life saver. Also I downloaded some button packs for things like Zoom meetings and other things to just make day to day tasks easy. One of my favorite things is using it to launch my daily Zoom meetings. Just add the Zoom meeting link to a button and instead of having to go to your email and dig for the Zoom link you can just press a button and your in the meeting. Then switch to the page of buttons to control the Zoom meeting and I can quickly mute and do whatever I need. The customization options of this thing make it great for non gaming uses. I am so much more efficient and when I use my other desktop I feel lost without it.

I’ve been contemplating getting a streamdeck for a while now and I’m so happy I finally decided to get it. Streaming is SO much easier now that I can trigger several actions with just a single button. I highly recommend this to anyone that finds themselves constantly going into their obs/streamlabs to adjust their scenes and sources while live. The only negative thing I should say is that mine arrived with a broken seal and without a box. I found it strange that the shipping label was pasted onto the streamdeck box itself and shipped out like that, but everything was clearly brand new and still works perfectly.

I originally bought a 32-key Stream Deck XL. The scheduled delivery was updated to two months. I cancelled that order and bought my first 15-key Stream Deck. I do not use it for live streaming so I had to sort through a lot of YouTube videos. Some of the older videos will tell you about limitations that have since been removed by Elgato. After setting up profiles for the applications that I use the most (Photoshop, Lightroom, Word, Outlook, File Explorer, PhotoLab, and Aurora) that are linked to the application, I could see that if I wanted to also load applications, web pages, and documents, it would be beneficial to have a second one for that purpose. The original one changes its layout when there is a profile for an application that is active (in focus). The other one is pretty much static.

But why only regular usb? Have y’all seen the Mac book pros for the last few years? No usb. And I have a hub/dock device specifically for running two monitors and the connectivity… but you can’t use the dock to connect it. A real bummer, in 2022 that a device like this skimps out on being more versatile out of the box.

Stream Deck gives you 15 fully customizable LCD keys to control your apps and tools. Trigger actions, launch social posts, adjust audio, play sound clips, activate lights, and much more.
