> 3 dayI thought the plastic ball would be fine, but it was not. It is hard to be controlled by tiny hands, it does not come out of the hole when it falls down.

Greater than one weekThis montessori-aligned toy still gets use here and there and my son is now 18mo! But its especially great with younger babies who are discovering and learning about object permanence. Its the sweetest to see your baby go from not knowing what is going on to deliberately taking the ball and putting it in the whole while waiting for it to drop and come out. This would make a great gift. :)

Greater than one weekWe are trying to follow montessori principles at home with our daughter, so we first purchased this box to help teach her object permanence. While simple, this has been her absolute favorite toy since she was 6 months old. At first she loved watching us model it, then loved trying to do it herself, and now loves seeing if larger and smaller objects will fit in. This box keeps her entertained for very long periods of time and also helps give her exercise as she loves crawling after the balls when they dont quite make it in the hole. She has also been very curious about how the box works and looks at the box from all angles to explore. Also, the quality if very good on this. We also purchased the next level, which is the cylinder shape with a door and hole and she has not taken to that one (yet). One thing is that the ball that comes with it is very poor quality and its slippery plastic features made the ball pop right our of her hand each time, so instead we use a ball that came with the Hape Geometric Rattle set, which has a little rubber grip to it and it is perfect for it!

> 3 dayVery well made toy- wish I had gotten it earlier for my son. He enjoyed it at 16 months but could have easily played with it from 6 months on!

> 3 dayI love the idea of this toy, but ours came missing one of the side internal pieces that guide the ball to the hole. I can see where it was glued on, but the piece isnt there and its not in the box. I can make something work from things we have at home, but I am very disappointed. Where is the quality control???

21-11-2024Actual box is well made with nicely sanded corners but the red paint was chipped and flaking off. Too bad they just didn’t leave it all unpainted. For the price I expected better quality, going to return it and look elsewhere.

Greater than one weekIts a phase of development. I loved watching him study this toy. He got good at getting the ball long before he would release it into the box. Once he did the reward on his face was amazing. Then he practiced this skill, and still does at 18 months. We call this his school work along with other activities that hello engage different parts of his brain. Not to say that this ball never goes missing our gets thrown around the room and put in other toys. It so does. But thats part of learning too and we welcome that as well.
