ESEE Xancudo S35V, Orange/Black G-10 3D Handle, Black Sheath (Orange/Black G-10, No Hole)

I collect knives and appreciate build quality. This knife is so finely built, even the scales match — based on depth of cut in the layered G10. The scales fit a finished tang, not ground to fit, just a perfect fit. Nice grind, nice edge, very sharp. Tiny but functional ricasso. Get one!

Good heat treat -- not my first s35vn knife nor even my third. Mediocre fit and finish since the spine was quite rounded by the tumbling process before final edge grinding. In fairness -- four & 1/2 stars for a much better than typical factory edge, well centered and at aprox. 24º overall -- that I none-the-less refined, honed and stropped after squaring off the round spine. But over the last 50+ years I almost never approve of the factory edge ( its like the newest employee casually applies the edge, and this is almost always the case -- even for Premium Name brands with quirky thumb holes and some that are newer to PDX than Fiskerber & I grew up in Portland, have a moderately excessive knife habit and was a line cook for two+ decades ). A very secure sheath -- this knife WILL NOT FALL OUT if put all the way into the sheath. Its new but I believe it will prove to be a very good value at the price I paid ( Dec. 2020 ).
